Camping in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Area

Join Smoky the Bear in the woods this summer and enjoy a weekend of camping in the Great Smoky Mountains. Camping in your backyard and camping in the Smokies is something completely different. You have to experience the joy you feel when you wake up, unzip the flap on your tent, and stand up into the beautifully scenic Smoky Mountains. Rest by a stream and fall to sleep with the trickling water right beside you. It can’t get much better than the Smokies!

There is a KOA right along the Little Pigeon River, but you’ll need to rest up to see all this area has to offer! The trolley even can take you right from Dollywood to the KOA campground. The campground has 50 amp service available, cable TV (no charge), pavilion/meeting room available, modem dataport (no charge), kitchens, a swimming pool open from April 1st through November 30th, a hot tub and sauna, firewood, tours, fishing, and other planned activities. The campground is very clean and right in the middle of the Smokies. A trip like this cannot be missed. You will recall stories from your camping treks in the Great Smoky Mountains for years to come!

We get a lot of calls from customers who had a great time camping with their families in the Smokies, but want to stay a night or two in our cabins. They say a night is enough of camping with the family, while the amenities of our cabins are well needed in their trips. So, families usually camp for a night at the KOA campground and stay a night at one of our Gatlinburg cabins. So, experience the best of both worlds at the KOA campground and a great cabin rental in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge! Remember to call well ahead of the time you plan to spend at the campground and our cabin rental, because they both are quickly reserved by others, especially during the holiday seasons. So, call now to make sure your name is on the list!

My father is an experienced rider, he and his Harley have been from our little farmhouse in Mid-Michigan out west to California, down to Florida and a hundred places in between. This summer he's set his sights on The Great Smoky Mountains. He's enlisted my help in locating him a campground to stay in and maybe a few good views. I was hoping you all could help me help him and make some suggestions.

Dad's not into the 'luxery cabins' and such I've located on some of the websites, and really wants to get away and experience the Smokies. As little commercialism as possible, Please.
