Description

Bring extended family, a few close family friends, or a small group to the relaxing and lovely Hiker's Lodge, a Gatlinburg cabin that easily sleeps 10 and boasts comfortable amenities throughout. This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin will be just the escape you need after a long day hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

The feeling of relaxation greets you as soon as you set foot in the cabin. With its open concept floorplan and vaulted ceilings, it is striking both in layout and decor. Three suites (2 kings and a queen), each on a different floor, provide the perfect space and distance to gather together or to stretch out and relax. A step out onto one of the 2 back decks will grant you the sensation of slicing through the middle of open mountain air. Grill, dine, or soak in the hot tub while you soak up nature’s glory.

As if the cabin itself weren’t wonderful enough, you will also be rewarded by the city of Gatlinburg, which is teeming with life. Only a few short miles from your stay, local cuisine, souvenir shops, and adventures of all sorts in downtown Gatlinburg will reward every seeker in your party with experiences you won’t soon forget. You might also choose to spend a few days in the welcoming arms of nature. As you plan for your next great mountain adventure, consider Hiker’s Lodge. Reward yourself. You deserve it.

Living Room
Lots of windows throughout the main living area provide a sense of openness as light fills your eyes and lightens your spirit. You’ll be eager to assemble with your party in this cabin perfectly planned for gathering. On cold winter nights, infuse cozy warmth into your gathering with the gas fireplace located in the center of the room. If your mountain getaway also includes a getaway from technology, you might sit on the area rug and gather around the coffee table, all perfect for a board game.

However, a fast from technology doesn’t have to be your course. Instead, you might gather around the flatscreen TV for a movie. Use the Wi-Fi in the cabin for streaming, bring your favorite DVDs, or scroll through what’s on cable TV and reward yourself with a relaxing movie. A plush couch and loveseat along with an armchair provide seating around the TV. If you’re missing a seat or two, you can pull up one of the extra chairs provided in the room or bring over a chair from the dining area. With the open concept, it’s not a long haul; you’ll only be moving from one side of the room to the other.

Kitchen
One of the most rewarding ways to gather is around a table filled with food. Thankfully you won’t need to miss any of the group gathering as you’re setting it. Whether it is a large meal prepared from scratch, leftovers of the local cuisine reheated, or just a quick snack assembled, the fully equipped kitchen with every major appliance meets your every need without taking extra space needed for the gathering.

Your party can transition from the living area to the dining area with very little effort. Serve the meal at the table with your guests assembled round, rewarded with good food and even better fellowship. If you don’t mind intimacy in your gathering, the dining table can sit 8. If a little more space is preferred, and the weather is nice, spill over onto the deck, where you’ll find extra seating with a picnic table and patio furniture.

Rec Room
When you’re not assembled for a group gathering, you can head downstairs for fun. Let the flatscreen TV provide the commentary for your game of pool. Reward any kids in your party with the opportunity to stay in the game room for the duration of the trip. Two twin bunk beds and a futon that folds out into a queen-sized bed provide the perfect sleeping space for kids or kids-at-heart. A second gas fireplace will keep the space heated on cold nights.

Bedrooms
After an especially fun day, a beautiful night’s rest in Hiker’s Lodge will be just the reward you need. With three separate sleeping areas, each on its own floor, a peaceful night’s sleep is sure to be one of the most rejuvenating events of your stay. All 3 rooms exhibit 3 separate styles; you’re sure to find one that best suits your tastes and your needs.

The king-sized suite on the main level is the perfect retreat if you need a quiet break from the gathering. From there, step out onto the deck with your own private entrance. Enjoy the solitude of a private sitting area in the warmth of an electric fireplace. Don’t worry; you won’t lose the warmth during the summer months. The sunny decor will provide all the warmth you’ll need. An en-suite bath with a tub/shower combo makes your privacy complete.

A second king-sized suite is separated from the main living space by a single flight of stairs to the third floor. You’ll feel like royalty surrounded by the rich decor. You’ll be treated as royalty, too, with your own electric fireplace, cable TV, and en-suite bath.

If you are the night owl in the group who enjoys late night fun, the queen-sized suite just off the downstairs game room might be ideal. It also offers an electric fireplace, an en-suite bath, and access to all the fun! You’ll be able to access the pool table after everyone else has gone to bed for the night. Or go for a late night dip in the hot tub with private access to the bottom deck.

Outdoor Spaces
Experience the beauty of nature without even leaving the privacy of your cabin. Two decks – one off the main floor, the other off the first floor – insert you into the middle of the mountain atmosphere. The back decks will be your reward destination after an exciting day on the town. Prepare a meal on the gas grill and enjoy it in the midst of nature.

A picnic table and patio furniture provide ample seating for all. Enjoy the view from steep mountain drop-offs as you watch the tram make its regular ascent and descent to and from Ober Gatlinburg. After your meal, experience relaxation as you reward yourself with a soak in the hot tub.

Community Amenities
All of the fun from the Hiker’s Lodge will have you seeking more. As part of a greater community of cabins, Chalet Village Resort will fill that need. With a stay in Hiker’s Lodge, you’ll have access to a lineup of impressive community amenities! Splash in the outdoor pools, play shuffleboard and horseshoes, play ping pong and foosball, hang out with checkers and chess, work out on the exercise equipment, take a stroll on the paved walking trails, and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi.
