Spring & Summer
Warmer months are full of fun at Ober Gatlinburg. Between playing miniature golf, riding waterslides, and winding through a challenging maze, you and your friends and family will make many wonderful memories together. During spring and summer, there are tons of fun activities to enjoy at Ober!

Aerial Tramway
Magnificent views of the Smoky Mountains are found along a ride on the Aerial Tramway. Featuring spacious cable cars made of high-grade aluminum alloy and boasting large glass viewing panes, the Aerial Tramway is a comfortable and unique way to get to Ober Gatlinburg while enjoying the views.

Scenic Chairlift
For an awe-inspiring view of the Great Smoky Mountains, hop on the Scenic Chairlift — the South’s longest chairlift! You’ll have lots of chances to take great photos, and starting Memorial Day weekend, you can listen to live bluegrass music at the top!

Alpine Slide

After a fun ride up the Scenic Chairlift, fly down the hillside on the Alpine Slide. Two weaving 1800-foot tracks run through woods and past ski trails to give guests an exciting ride.

Summer Tubing
Love snow tubing? Consider summer tubing at Ober, where their winter attraction turns into summer fun by replacing snow with slippery synthetic materials that actually give the ride a snowy feel under the sun!

Ice Skating + Ice Bumper Cars
Stay cool inside on hot summer days as you glide around the indoor ice rink — on skates or in ice bumper cars! With more than 400 pairs of rental skates available, kids and adults will have the chance to skate for hours. The 140’ x 75’ indoor ice arena has plenty of room for lots of families to bump and play!

Wildlife Encounter
Featuring river otters, bears, raccoons, flying squirrels, turtles, snakes, and more, Ober Gatlinburg’s Wildlife Encounter is a wonderful way to get up close and personal with some of nature’s interesting animals! Watch the river otters play at the underwater viewing area or check out the Birds of Prey in the enclosed aviary.

Amaze’n Maze
Kids of all ages will love winding through this challenging maze. Guests will receive a passport to stamp at checkpoints throughout the maze, and they may even win prizes for their time!

Carousel
Ride this old-fashioned carousel for a trip back in time. Children will especially love the colorful horses and bright lights of this fun ride!

Chair Swing
A carnival-style ride that will keep the breeze blowing through your hair, the Chair Swing offers kids and adults a fun and easy ride. You’ll spin in circles on this fun ride — it’s a great way to cool off a bit!

Water Fun
An exhilarating, twisting ride, Blue Cyclone features air-inflated rafts and a more than 60-foot drop into refreshing water. Shoot the Chute lets you race along “whitewater” waves through a fully enclosed fiberglass chute at speeds over 30 mph! And zoom into a major splash aboard the Lightnin’ Water Ride!

Ski Mountain Coaster
Enjoy the view as you smoothly sail between the trees 1,000 feet to the top of the Ski Mountain Coaster, then prepare as you gain control over the speed (up to 25 miles per hour), zooming or coasting to the bottom.

Kiddie Land & Rides
A fun place for kids to spend the day, Kiddie Land features tunnels, swinging bridges, rope webs, ladders, chutes, trains, and cars! Kids will have an absolute blast riding the Ober Express and running around Kiddie Land all day.

Mini Golf
This 18-hole outdoor miniature golf course provides challenging hazards and obstacles! Kids and adults will love putting around here on sunny days.

Rock Wall
At 30 feet tall, the Rock Wall at Ober Gatlinburg is a great challenge for youngsters and adults alike. Climb your way to the tippy top, then rappel down to victory!

Arcade
Featuring lots of indoor skill, interactive, and classic arcade games, the arcade is the perfect place to cool off on a warm day. At the Redemption Center, kids (and kids at heart!) can redeem their tickets for toys, gifts, and prizes!

Fall & Winter
When cooler months roll around, Ober Gatlinburg adds even more outdoor fun to their amusement park — with snow! In winter, guests will love skiing, snowboarding, and tubing down the snowy slopes at Ober Gatlinburg. The Terrain Park offers great obstacles for the adventurous, while 9 trails serviced by 2 quads, 1 double, and 1 surface lift let guests enjoy the slopes without waiting too long.
  • Equipment Rental — Rentals are on a first come, first serve basis, and guests can get skis, snowboards, boots, jackets, helmets, pants, and more. You’ll find all you need before hitting the slopes with family and friends!
  • Ski Mountain OutdoorsThis full-service ski and snowboard store offers skis, snowboards, boots, outerwear, accessories, and bindings for those who want their own gear. You can also get your snowboard or skis tuned, including sharpening edges and waxing bases!
  • Jensen Imaging — After riding the Aerial Tram to the tippy top and gliding down the snowy slopes, don’t forget to grab your professional (and gorgeous) photos before heading down the mountain.

Cubbies Snow Zone
Kids will love playing and exploring in the snow in this kid-friendly snow zone! They can slide, climb, make snow angels, and build snowmen!

Gatlinburg Snowsports Center
If you’re new to the game, head to the Gatlinburg Snowsports Center for some lessons in skiing and snowboarding. The professionals at the center will help guests learn while having fun.

On the Mountain
For a relaxing, sit-down meal, try the Seasons of Ober Restaurant. With hand-cut steaks, chicken and pork entrees, and homemade sides, Seasons of Ober offers hearty, delicious meals prepared with different seasonal ingredients throughout the year. The Loft Lounge at Ober Gatlinburg offers a casual feel, with the area’s largest dance floor and signature drink specials.

If you just need a snack or a quick bite, the Sidewalk Café offers convenient places for refueling during a busy day at Ober. Munch on pizza, sandwiches, and cinnamon rolls as you cool off with an ice-cold soda or keep warm with some hot chocolate. After that, don’t forget to make a stop at the Fudge Shop to watch them make homemade fudge before trying the mouthwatering treat!

In the Downtown Tramway Mall
Ober Gatlinburg’s LeConte Deli has a wide selection of specialty sandwiches, along with chips, fresh baked cookies, and ice-cold drinks. It’s an easy and quick place for a snack. And if you need a little pep in your step, visit Ski Mountain Grind Haus that offers freshly ground coffee, livening espresso, sweet pastries and scrumptious cookies, plus specialty beverages.

On the Mountain
At the Galleria Gift Shop, find the perfect souvenirs that will remind you of your fun time at Ober! The unique and varied collection of t-shirts, hoodies, and hats offers a little something for everyone. Slopeside Apparel & Gifts offers a large selection of outerwear, accessories, and casualwear from some of the top outdoor brands, including KAVU, Woolrich, and Kuhl!

Of course, you’ll want to pick up some fun things for the kids while you’re at Ober. Stop in to Obear’s Playhouse for toys, games, books, and apparel for the youngest visitors. The kids may even get to meet Obear, who likes to hang out in this fun store! Family Crest and Puzzled offer unique gifts, including collectibles, pins and watches, jigsaw and 3D puzzles, flag decals, and more! ANNUAL EVENTS

MayFest
As spring comes into full bloom, MayFest bursts into celebration — bringing traditional German dance, cultural elements, and historical displays to Ober Gatlinburg. This 10-day event welcomes those of all ages, even offering free activities for children.

At Mayfest, enjoy a maypole dance (where folk dancers weave a beautiful design around a tall pole) while sipping delicious German beer from the Biergarten. Take the little ones for face painting, games, bounce houses, and crafts without spending a dime. There will also be art demos by the pros from the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community and an uphill 5K to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains. And of course, all spring and summer Ober attractions will be open to enjoy!

OktOBERfest
When fall arrives in Gatlinburg, it means it’s time for festivals, fall foods, cool weather, and changing leaves. There is one place you’ll get the perfect blend each October: Ober Gatlinburg! at Ober Gatlinburg is a celebration of the traditions of the original OktOBERfest in Munich, Germany.

At OktOBERfest, nosh on schnitzel, strudel, turkey legs, bratwurst, and pretzels, washing it all down with authentic German beers at the Outdoor Biergarten. After you eat, swing to the sounds of the Bavarian Fun Makers Oompah Band — oompah, yodels, and sing-a-longs!
