The 2,300-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin boasts space for up to 10 guests, with king-size beds and sleeper sofas for a full house. Bring along friends and family to relax and play, with peaceful wooded views, the conveniences of home, and lots of extra perks.

Spend days at A Bear’s Pause playing board games (provided in the cabin); unwinding in front of the big screen TV with Roku streaming, a Bluetooth accessible soundbar, and DVD player. At night, cozy up in front of the gas fireplace when it’s cool, fire up the brand-new grill for cookouts, enjoy outdoor meals at the picnic table — with string lights on the decks — and soak in the outdoor hot tub.

A Bear’s Pause also has you covered with a washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, room to park a trailer, easy roads to the cabin, TVs in the bedrooms, rocking chairs for laid-back days, and a convenient drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, downtown Gatlinburg, and Ober Gatlinburg skiing and more. It’s also easily accessible from the Gatlinburg bypass, so arrivals will be a breeze!

Living Room
Step inside the spacious and inviting living area and take A Bear’s Pause before the wall of windows streaming in tree-studded scenes and natural light. Then sit back and relax on the plump sofas with plenty of throw pillows to get cozy. Turn on the big screen TV for a little entertainment while you relax. And if it’s a bit chilly, get a warm fire going in the gas fireplace, cuddle under a blanket, and sip cocoa.

Kitchen
When you’re hankering for a meal or a snack, whip up deliciousness in the fully equipped kitchen that harbors stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, a double sink, plus cookware, serving dishes, cutlery, glasses, and mugs. All you need to bring are the ingredients and any special cooking items you may need. At the end of the day, if you don’t feel like cooking, it’s a convenient place to store leftovers from restaurants in town and keep treats and drinks on hand throughout your stay.

Dining Area
Set the elegant dining table for mealtimes in the dining area just off the kitchen. The table is convenient for seconds and dessert and even makes for great additional counter space when you need it. Plus, the cabin has a few board games you can play here. It’s also a great space to check emails, write your next blog post, or set out activities for the kids.

Rec Room
Downstairs, kids and kids at heart will appreciate the large rec room where you can play air hockey, watch DVDs or stream over Roku 3 on the big screen TV, or toss back a few cold ones at the tables. There are sofas to relax and a Bluetooth soundbar you can tap into at your leisure. It’s a nice and roomy place to let the kids hang out or chill with your friends and family together.

Bedrooms
When you want to take a nap, hit the hay, or just find a quiet space all to yourself, slip away to your private and convenient bedroom. Each of the 3 welcoming bedrooms at this pet-friendly Gatlinburg cabin features a TV — one is another big screen — views of the trees, a king-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom. Peel away to enjoy a hot shower and slip into your PJs before movie night begins. Watch entertainment in bed anytime, and sleep in until noon if you like! Plus, there are 2 queen sleepers in the home you can set up for the kids or extra guests.

Outdoor Spaces
For nature lovers, the great outdoors is where they’ll want to be. A Bear’s Pause is semi-private and boasts 2 decks — one with a steamy hot tub with massaging jets and a sitting area and the other with rocking chairs and a log picnic table. Spend time outside with a cup of coffee and a good friend, soak tired muscles after strolling the Parkway or hiking in the national park, and sway away your worries and cares in the mountain breezes.

Wooded views surround the home and offer peaceful scenery to enjoy throughout your stay. The decks feature string lights to make your evening and nighttime experiences in the Smokies magical and cozy. And bear sightings are regular here, so you might spot a mama bear and her cubs! There’s also a brand-new gas grill for cookouts together.

When you arrive or gear up to head into town, the motorcycle-friendly, flat, paved driveway (with parking for 4 and room for a trailer) and 0-step entrance into the home make it easy to unload and pack the cars. Plus, the roads to the cabin are flat and paved, so driving around is easier.

Reviews for A Bear's Pause

  • "We had an AMAZING experience at A Bear's Pause. Since the cabin was new to Cabins for You...we just took a chance and booked it without seeing pictures. When we walked into the cabin...we were in "awe" over how great it was! The beds were SOOOOOO comfy! Plenty of sheets/pillows/extra blankets to accommodate all 10 of us. The room downstairs was perfect for hanging out--the kids were able to play pool, darts and even get in the hot tub...we watched football and spread out--plenty of room. We even had a bear walk up onto the parking pad and hang out one evening! We had a GREAT time and will definitely book again!"

  • "Cabin was outstanding, really really clean when we checked in . Located in perfect spot for a quick trip to Ober Gatlinburg or Downtown . I can’t say enough good things to say about the Cabin. The Ferguson’s had a great time ."

  • "I stayed at a Bear’s Pause from March 18-20th 2022 for my birthday weekend. The cabin was not hard to find and I had no issues with accessing the cabin once I arrived. The cabin was clean, spacious and very cozy. My friends and I had a wonderful time and the scenery was breathtaking. I plan to return in the future."

  • "Renting was extremely easy, interaction was nice and friendly. Everything was nice and exactly what was expected"

  • "Had a wonderful time at our cabin. The cabin was really nice and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and even had a couple of bear sightings."

  • "Beautiful and spacious cabin. Quiet location and we even saw four bears around the area. It is 5 minutes from Ober Gatlinburg and very close to downtown Gatlinburg. The arcade games were a big hit. I would note that if you are bringing dogs there isn’t really a yard for them to use the bathroom in. You can walk them along the road which gets the job done. I was nervous booking this cabin with no reviews but I would stay again."

  • "I really enjoyed the cabin. The fireplace was cozy. The cabin location was accessible and easy to get too. I will be booking again very soon."

  • "We came in for the parade ans this cabin was everything we could have wanted. Beautiful scenery, beautiful inside and out. Beds were very comfy, best sleep we have had in a while to be honest."
