Reviews for A Bear's Pause

  • "We had an AMAZING experience at A Bear's Pause. Since the cabin was new to Cabins for You...we just took a chance and booked it without seeing pictures. When we walked into the cabin...we were in "awe" over how great it was! The beds were SOOOOOO comfy! Plenty of sheets/pillows/extra blankets to accommodate all 10 of us. The room downstairs was perfect for hanging out--the kids were able to play pool, darts and even get in the hot tub...we watched football and spread out--plenty of room. We even had a bear walk up onto the parking pad and hang out one evening! We had a GREAT time and will definitely book again!"

  • "Cabin was outstanding, really really clean when we checked in . Located in perfect spot for a quick trip to Ober Gatlinburg or Downtown . I can’t say enough good things to say about the Cabin. The Ferguson’s had a great time ."

  • "I stayed at a Bear’s Pause from March 18-20th 2022 for my birthday weekend. The cabin was not hard to find and I had no issues with accessing the cabin once I arrived. The cabin was clean, spacious and very cozy. My friends and I had a wonderful time and the scenery was breathtaking. I plan to return in the future."

  • "Renting was extremely easy, interaction was nice and friendly. Everything was nice and exactly what was expected"

  • "Had a wonderful time at our cabin. The cabin was really nice and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and even had a couple of bear sightings."

  • "Beautiful and spacious cabin. Quiet location and we even saw four bears around the area. It is 5 minutes from Ober Gatlinburg and very close to downtown Gatlinburg. The arcade games were a big hit. I would note that if you are bringing dogs there isn’t really a yard for them to use the bathroom in. You can walk them along the road which gets the job done. I was nervous booking this cabin with no reviews but I would stay again."

  • "I really enjoyed the cabin. The fireplace was cozy. The cabin location was accessible and easy to get too. I will be booking again very soon."

  • "We came in for the parade ans this cabin was everything we could have wanted. Beautiful scenery, beautiful inside and out. Beds were very comfy, best sleep we have had in a while to be honest."

  • "We came to town from Texas for a basketball tournament at Rocky Top Sports world. My husband, myself and our 3 children (17,16 and 13) this cabin was PERFECT for us! It was so beautiful, and the views were amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, we will be back very soon!"

  • ""cabins were very nice A few things broken like ottoman in living room and blind in kitchen but overall very nice Would stay there again""

  • "Our stay at The Bears Pause was great, we recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful secluded place to visit. The roads were a bit tricky but manageable. The cabin was well kept and the kitchen sufficiently supplied, but I do recommend preparing yourself with extra essentials as noted in the listing that you may want. Our only complaint is that the listing mentioned a pool table at the cabin but was an air hockey table instead. Something nonessential, lol. We had the pleasure of being welcomed on our first day with the presence of a black bear passing our cabin. We also enjoyed seeing another group of about 6 on our final day just before leaving. Overall our family of 6 had a wonderful visit, thank you!!! 😍"

  • "We had a great stay.very comfortable. Lots of wildlife to enjoy.kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook and vist together .great family time."

  • "Very nice, very clean, comfy and cozy. Had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay so much and made wonderful memories with our family."

  • "Great cabin. We went up before Christmas and it was decorated so nice. Our neighbors own this and we have been looking forward to staying there. Very nice, well kept and no issues other than the curvy roads but that is expected being in the mountains. We had 4 adults and 3 small dachshunds and love that it was pet friendly!!! Very relaxing and the the fireplace was awesome. Our one dachshund loved watching it. He was mesmerized. Will be going back again."

  • "We had a great stay. We were supposed to have a condo but two days before we got a call that there were maintenance issues and we couldn’t stay there. Cabins for you gave us three choices of private cabins. We booked one with no additional cost. The drive was not for the faint at heart. But beautiful cabin with enough space . Thank you Cabins for you!"
