Peaceful days and memorable stays await family, friends, and couples at the charming and cozy Shepherd’s Crook, a traditional A-frame cabin with 2 comfy bedrooms, 1.5 convenient bathrooms, and room to sleep up to 5 guests. Tall trees surround the home in nature, creek waters can be heard down below, solid floors flow throughout the open concept living space, and elevated windows allow natural light to stream inside. Tucked away in Chalet Village Resort in Gatlinburg, TN, guests will have access to not only relaxing cabin amenities and all the conveniences of home but also fun community extras throughout their time at Shepherd’s Crook.
Begin your Smoky Mountain vacation with your feet propped up in the recliner, a good book in hand, and a crackling, wood burning fire on cooler days in the inviting living room. The ceiling raises with exposed beams, and huge windows light the space and bring tree studded views indoors. Sit back in the armchair with ottoman to take in the tranquil scenery or enjoy a DVD on the flatscreen TV. There’s also a plump sofa and a coffee table, perfect for cuddles and snacks on movie nights.
Follow the open concept into the fully equipped kitchen that features major appliances — including a refrigerator, range with overhead microwave, and a dishwasher — pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, and more items to help prepare and serve meals at the cabin. There’s also a serving cart to expand the prep space or set out dessert and wine. Nearby, set the dining table that seats 4, and offer extra guests a seat in the living area mere steps away.
When you’re ready to reconnect with nature, head onto the spacious entry level deck with an outdoor dining table for 6, bench seating, and a massaging hot tub. Barbecued meals on the gas grill go perfect with sides at the table, and nighttime soaks under the stars couldn’t be sweeter. There’s also another side deck with a table for 6, perfect for sipping coffee, checking emails, or playing a provided board game.
Bedtime couldn’t be more relaxing as you enter the master suite at this Gatlinburg cabin that features a king size bed, a flatscreen TV, a ceiling fan, and an en-suite bathroom with a large tiled (walk-in) shower. Enjoy washing in the hot water before slipping into your jammies and hitting the hay with entertainment in bed. Atop the spiral staircase rests a twin trundle for extra guests, a queen bedroom with a TV, and a half bathroom for convenience.
Shepherd’s Crook also boasts high speed Wi-Fi so guests can hop on the internet with ease plus a washer/dryer to keep up with laundry and pack light. Community amenities include 3 summertime pools — one with a waterslide — clubhouses with game tables, fitness equipment, and tennis courts for even more fun during your cabin stay in Gatlinburg, TN.
Living Room
Take a break from it all and get cozy in the quaint living space at Shepherd’s Crook. Wood floors, a high ceiling, and a wood burning fireplace of stone add to the cabin vibes, and the soaring windows let in tons of natural light and treetop scenery. It’s a great space to gather the gang for chats or wine sips, and movie nights are fun with your favorite DVDs on the flatscreen TV and treats piled on the coffee table. On cooler nights, light a fire and spend a few hours with a classic romance or adventure novel and a mug of cocoa with extra marshmallows.
Kitchen
Nearby lies the kitchen that’s fully equipped with all the appliances and tools needed to prepare homemade meals in the mountains. Keep fresh ingredients in the fridge, rinse fruits and veggies in the double sink (with window), cook dishes on the stove, and bake cookies and cakes in the oven. There’s also a coffeemaker to keep everyone sane, a microwave to pop everyone’s movie night favorite, and a dishwasher to clean up the messes. And a handy serving cart adds extra prep and serving surface to the space.
Dining Area
Set the dining table just off the kitchen for mealtimes with family and friends. The dining area seats 4 under a chandelier, and with the living room seating nearby, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy meals. Plus, there is an outdoor dining set for 6 on the main deck not far from the space. After meals, clear the table to host a board game tournament with games provided at the cabin. It’s also a great spot to pull out your laptop for a browse, write the next entry in your travel journal, or sketch a cute black bear cub in your art book.

The entry level harbors the master suite with a spacious king size bed, a ceiling fan to keep cool on warmer nights, and a flatscreen TV for entertainment in bed. Plus, it features an en-suite bathroom with a sizable walk-in shower of tile, perfect for unwinding under the hot water. The second bedroom is just up the spiral staircase that leads to the loft. Before entering the room with a queen size bed, ceiling fan, and a flatscreen TV, tuck the kiddos into the twin trundle nestled in the loft. There’s also a writing desk here, great for a quaint workspace or a quiet spot to work on your new book, and a convenient half bathroom.
