Formerly known as Great Bear, this lovely log cabin in located on the Bent Creek Golf Course in the Cobbly Nob Resort and near the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community in Gatlinburg. Pop A Bear has it all – games, comfortable interiors, a convenient location, and lots of amenities. Situated in the Cobbly Nob Resort, it also offers access to community amenities, including convenient access to the golf course! This six bedroom, six-and-a-half bathroom cabin is ideal for big family vacations or group getaways.
Not far from downtown Gatlinburg, Pop A Bear is convenient to all the attractions of the area. Spend a day driving the 8-mile loop of shops in the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, explore among the more than 800 miles of trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or check out the many family-friendly attractions located along the Parkway. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast, a shopaholic, or a gamer, you’ll find something fun to do in Gatlinburg. You can hike, bike, go horseback riding, have picnics, take scenic drives, browse local art galleries, play at the Ripley’s attractions, spend an afternoon at the aquarium, or just stroll along the busy Parkway and stop into the many shops. There are also plenty of options for dining, from fast food to fine dining. Before you head back to the cabin, pick up some homemade fudge, candy, or local moonshine to enjoy at the cabin.
The log exterior of Pop A Bear will make you feel completely tucked away in the Smoky Mountains. It’s located on the seventh green at Bent Creek Golf Course in the Cobbly Nob Resort, so you’ll have fantastic views and easy access to the course. Inside, find comfortable spaces where you can relax with family and friends. On the main level, curl up in the living room with heated floors in front of the gas fireplace. Enjoy the ultimate TV-watching experience as you kick back in front of the 50-inch HDTV with DVD/VCR combination. The two leather sofas and two recliners offer plenty of comfortable seating, and the wet bar with sink and mini refrigerator are convenient amenities.
Also on the main level is the full kitchen, equipped with the dishes, tools, appliances, and utensils you’ll need to make homemade meals in the cabin. You can pick up your favorite foods on the way into town and stock the kitchen with snacks to have on hand while you’re watching TV or playing games around the cabin. The dining area comfortably seats 14 guests, so you can sit down for peaceful meals together, and four bar stools offer additional seating. You can step out onto the deck through the door in the kitchen. Here you’ll find a table with bench seating and deck rockers, so you can have outdoor meals or just enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.
Two of the bedrooms in Pop A Bear are located on the main level. One is furnished with 1 twin bed, a dresser, a closet, a checkers set, and a 19-inch TV with built-in VCR. The second bedroom on the main level features a king-size bed, dresser, armoire, easy chair, large walk-in closet, and a 27-inch TV with VCR and DVD player. You’ll also find easy access to the deck and an adjoining full bathroom from this room. In the full bath, enjoy the heated floors, jetted tub, stand-up shower, two sinks, and a vanity table with a seat to make getting ready easy.
Upstairs, the loft bedroom boasts a king-size bed, 27-inch TV with DVD player and VCR, dresser, easy chair, rocker, closet, and an adjoining bath. The other bedrooms are located on the lower level. Each has a king-size bed, 20-inch TV with VCR, chest of drawers and adjoining bath with stand-up shower. There are two futons located in the cabin for additional guests. The lower level also boasts tons of shared living space, including a full living room with sofas, a TV, and a fireplace, a full kitchen, and a game room.
Spend hours playing in the game room with the arcade console and pool table. Just outside, the deck features a swing and rockers. The walkway outside leads to the gazebo area with an eight-person hot tub, picnic table for four, and basketball goal in the driveway – plenty to keep you entertained outside. The two car garage attached to the cabin is available to guests as well (ideal during for guests participating in the car show or motorcycle week)!

Each of our cabins has a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove/oven, and varying countertop appliances), shared living spaces for guests, a dining table and/or breakfast bar for in-cabin dining, and cozy bedrooms. Most feature wireless internet, flatscreen TVs, washers and dryers, decks with wooded or mountain views, and some games or game tables! You can browse by amenity online to find the perfect fit.
You’ll supply your own food, drinks, toiletries, charcoal and lighter fluid (for charcoal grills), propane (for gas grills; check cabin before purchasing), and any other movies or games you’d enjoy on vacation!

We provide all linens, along with 1 towel and 1 washcloth per person (based on property sleeps advertised). Many of our cabins have washers and dryers, so it is easy to use only the towels we provide. If your cabin does not have a washer/dryer, you may want to bring extra towels from home.

Check-in is easy with Cabins for YOU. Each cabin has an electronic keypad, and we’ll supply the unique code for your cabin 2 days before check-in. No keys, no going to an office. You’ll use this to unlock your cabin each time you enter. Checkout is equally simple. Just shut the door behind you as you leave and it will automatically lock!
Check-in/out times: Check-in starts at 4 p.m. EST with guaranteed check-in at 6 p.m. Checkout time is 10 a.m. EST. We can’t guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts, but you can check with your Vacation Specialist. Hourly fees apply for early check-ins.

Please report any issues regarding cleanliness of hot tubs, swim spas, or pools upon arrival. We will do our best to resolve them right away. To keep these spaces clean and serviceable for all guests, please shower off before using and refrain from using any lotions or oils. If issues are reported more than 24 hours after arrival, any additional cleaning fees will be charged to current guest.
Overall outdated and/or has worn out elements. There is little to no coordination in furniture and decor. Most furniture items are of lower quality such as cloth couches, laminate countertops, and particle board cabinets.
Average quality accommodations. Will have some good quality and some low quality elements. Things such as a mixture of flatscreen and tube tvs, good quality furniture but worn out and not consistent, particle board cabinets and laminate countertops with updated appliances, or updated appliances but not consistent. These properties have elements of a Bronze and Gold level.
Good quality accommodations. These properties are high quality, but all elements might not be considered luxury in nature. There might be more wear on furniture, deck/exterior, etc. TVs are flat screen, but might not be the newest in quality. Might have stone countertops with updated appliances that aren’t stainless steel. These properties have some elements of the Platinum level, but elements are either slightly outdated, worn, or not as high quality.
Luxury accommodations. All elements are of high quality, design, and are up-to-date. Consistent furniture and decor in each room. Unique touches such as stone designs, barnwood/shiplap, full log pillars are often found in these properties.
