50 Things to Do for Summer Solstice

Every year around the middle of June, summer solstice arrives, announcing the end of spring and the beginning of summer with the sun reaching its highest point in the sky. As the longest day of 2018 (with first light at 5:48 a.m. and last light at 9:23 p.m.), June 21 will be a special time for your first summer excursion! Start summertime right with a full day of wining and dining, playing and exploring, shopping and laughing, and mostly relaxing in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee — a place filled with beautiful sights and fun attractions, surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains and local wildlife, and saturated with kind souls and good times.
