Splash Country at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN

Wondering how to beat the Smoky Mountain heat in the dead of summer? The number one attraction you should make sure to visit this summer is the popular Dollywood’s Splash Country! With 23 different water rides, refreshing snacks, and so much more to choose from, this Pigeon Forge park adventure will be one you will not soon forget! The park officially opens for the new season in May and stays open until September! All summer long, you’ll find plenty of fun and food for a day of play here!

Luckily, Dollywood’s Splash Country has several restaurants, snack shops, and stores where you can take a break between rides and attractions. Refuel throughout the day with cool drinks, hearty meals, and delicious ice cream before heading back out for more fun. It’s a stop in Pigeon Forge you don’t want to miss!

Food & Drink

The Campsite Grill is just one of the restaurants that serves food that kids love, including burgers, fries, chicken, and kids’ meals! Sit at a picnic table with your family and enjoy a filling lunch that will please the whole family. The Campsite Grill is now also serving breakfast – including chicken biscuits, sausage biscuits, muffins, and Danish – from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Berries and Cream is a tasty smoothie shop where you can cool off on hot days. Stop in and get them to make your choice of blended fruit and cream right before your very eyes!

Cascades Concessions is an all-in one go-to for your summertime needs! They offer ice cream, the tiny Mini-Melts® that everyone loves on a hot day, as well as the essentials for a sunny day – sunscreen and bottled drinks.

Coca-Cola® Fill & Chill Zones offer FREE refills all day or all season long. Just purchase a “Fill & Chill” mug and enjoy free refills at three convenient locations throughout the park!

Dogs ‘N’ Taters has your favorite fried foods, including corn dogs and tater swirls! Grab a quick lunch before heading back out with the kids.

High Country offers the perfect quick snack, with chili dogs, hot dogs, and hearty nachos with chili, sour cream, cheese, and other toppings!

Miss Mamie’s Pizza has all your favorites, from fresh-made pizzas to breadsticks!

Outpost is the place to stop if you want to get a quick bite to eat. Take a break between waterslides for a hot dog, BBQ sandwich, chicken sandwich kids’ meals, and sides.


Riverside Trading Post has everything you could imagine you might need while you are in the park. Here you’ll find swimsuits for boys, girls, and adults, sunscreen, beach towels, t-shirts, and other water park essentials.

Splash & Dash Sundries sells ice cream and other sweet treats. Take a break here and stop in for a snack during your busy day of fun. You can also stop in to buy jewelry, beach towels, sunglasses, sunscreen, and more!

Rides & Attractions

River Rush is Tennessee’s first and only water coaster! Come experience the four stories and four different drops of this hydromagnetic ride. The ride takes you through dark tunnels, and around hairpin turns on over 1,176 feet of tunnel. Along this ride you’ll experience twists, turns, drops, and a rush of water along the way!

Bear Mountain Fire Tower is a multi-level attraction with seven different slides to choose from, along with water cannons. The kids will love playing with the different water features located all throughout this area. There are even handicap accessible areas, so everyone can join in on the fun!

Big Bear Plunge is a whitewater-like ride that takes its riders into dark cavern-like tunnels, through a wall of water, and careening down a bumpy “cliff” towards the end before landing in a pool of water below.

Downbound Float Trip is a relaxing but fun way to see all the park has to offer. This park offers over 1,500 feet of “river” to float through. You’ll stay cool as you float along before reaching the 200-foot waterfall feature.

Fire Tower Falls is the high-rising slide that plummets its daring visitors down a 280-foot drop through the air. This exhilarating and gravity-defying slide is 70 feet high and leads to a 140-foot lane filled with water that waits at the bottom for the rider.

Little Creek Falls is a place that kids can hang out and play in the water. Children less than 48 inches must be with an adult during their play time here. There is a shaded area that kids can hang out under and there are seven canopies that can be reserved as well.

Mountain Scream is a double slide where riders can choose from winding corkscrew tunnels or aggressive quadruple-drop slides. Either slide is an exciting ride!

Mountain Twist is an individual ride using single-person mats. After climbing to the top, you’ll take the 42 curvy turns down the slide to the bottom. The ride ends by you splashing into a pool!

Raging River Rapids is a family-friendly ride that takes its passengers down a 700-foot-long riveting water slide. The group will be seated in a raft while it careens down the slide at top speeds. This whitewater rafting-like experience is fun for all!

Slick Rock Racer boasts four different lanes of water sliding fun. The riders lay on a mat as they race to the bottom of the slide. Jump on to see who will win!

SwiftWater Run is another whitewater–like rafting ride for single or double riders. This exciting ride winds through a high speed corkscrew tunnel and shoots you down into a pool at the bottom.

The Butterfly is a double slide that sends its daring riders plummeting down a 55-foot-long slide. The bottom of the pool where you land is shaped like Butterfly wings and that is where the attraction got its name!

The Cascades is an 8,000-square-foot lagoon style pool. This part of the park does have a seating area, an active geyser, interactive elements, and giant cascading waterfalls. Available for rent in this area are 12 different waterside retreats, as well as 9 waterside canopies, where families can relax in the shade, order meals, and rest between rides.

Wild River Falls is a water attraction that is made to be similar to tubing down the river. For those that love the many rivers in Pigeon Forge and love nature, this ride will be tons of fun. Grab a tube and enjoy venturing down the tunnels of Wild River Falls!
