Description

Swept Away is a beautiful NEW cabin with gorgeous interiors, lots of modern amenities, the conveniences of home, and views that stretch over the Great Smoky Mountains and out to the glittering city lights of Pigeon Forge. It’s a wonderful blend of elegance, warmth, and classic cabin features – including the 12-inch round logs that adorn the outside of the home.

The 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin for 2 was made for romantic, relaxing, and fun weekends in the Great Smoky Mountains. Days here are spent playing pool and arcade games, sipping coffee at the outdoor dining table – looking out at the mountains – unwinding in the hot tub on the deck, relaxing in front of the fireplace and big screen TV, and making delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen before sitting down at the intimate dining table.

Swept Away has comfortable furnishings, plenty of space for 2, and amenities to keep you entertained and relaxed. You could spend an entire weekend cozying up here. But if you do want to get out, downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are nearby. Gatlinburg is less than 5 miles from the cabin, and neighboring Pigeon Forge is under 7 miles away. It won’t take long to be in the middle of it all, where you can shop, dine, and play.

The Smokies has it all, whether you want a romantic, laid-back getaway or a fast-paced vacation. Shop at the Tanger Outlets, have a hearty Southern meal at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, play at Dollywood, take a scenic helicopter tour, catch a dinner show, grab some fudge or chocolate-dipped strawberries, ski at Ober Gatlinburg, or stroll around at The Island in Pigeon Forge (you can see the wheel from the cabin).

*Driveway is steep and long! MUST HAVE 4-wheel drive year-round for the steep, gravel driveway at Swept Away. Trucks and SUVs are strongly recommended.

Living Room
After days of strolling along the Parkway, the cozy and charming living room of Swept Away will be a welcome retreat. Curl up on the Ashley Furniture sofa – a luxury style of the Claremore Collection – with comfortable high-density foam-core cushions and a soft fabric. You can cozy up with a good book, have a game night, or have a movie night in the living room that boasts a 9-foot-tall by 12-foot-wide custom-designed stacked stone gas fireplace. The rustic mantel is a showpiece of its own, a sanded and stained log that holds the big screen TV.

If you’re here to just unwind, soak in the views through the windows along the front of the living room. Or you can flip on the 70-inch 4K Ultra HDR Vizio (2160p, 120 Hz LED). Movie night is elevated here, with a smart home theater display with Chromecast built in! It’s great for streaming the ball game, movie marathons, or just watching some late-night shows after a long day in town.

Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen of Swept Away is a beautiful blend of form and function. All the essentials are here – pots and pans, dishes and glassware, utensils, full-size appliances – paired perfectly with high-end finishes. Burnished cherry cabinets with soft-close drawers are topped with high-end granite countertops and a rustic copper Sinkology farmhouse apron-front sink. Upgraded stainless steel appliances include a double-door refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and stove, ensuring you have what you need to make homemade meals in the cabin. The breakfast bar also features 2 leather bar stools where you can have a cup of coffee in the morning or chat while you get meals ready.

Dining Room
With such a well-equipped kitchen in the cabin, a great dining space is a must. Sit down for peaceful meals in the comfort of your own cabin in the dining room of Swept Away. A dark wood table with seating for 4 sits beneath a romantic chandelier, with a soft rug underfoot. Have a candlelit dinner or invite a couple friends for an intimate dinner party – with mountain views through the windows. In its own alcove, it’s a lovely spot for a quiet meal.

Bedroom
The primary bedroom in Swept Away is a retreat within a retreat, with an elegant Ledelle bedroom suit that features a king-size bed, granite-style-topped nightstands, and a large dresser. The king-size mattress is a signature plush Ashley Special addition mattress, and windows along the back wall frame mountain and wooded views. Love sleeping in? Close the blinds and pull the curtains closed and just melt back into the bed.

In the bathroom, a vessel-style sink with a granite top and a stone-surround jetted tub give it a spa-like feel. The custom-designed walk-in shower is beautifully tiled and has a large glass door and built-in shower seat. For extra privacy, there is also a separate toilet closet.

Loft | Game Room
The spacious game room in the loft of Swept Away offers a place to play and hang out when you don’t want to leave the cabin. A pool table sits in the center of the room, so you can shoot around while enjoying wooded views. The loft also features a 2-person arcade table with 2 cushioned chairs – perfect for challenging each other to some games.

Outdoor Spaces
Swept Away features a lovely deck, boasting views that span all the way to Pigeon Forge. At night, you can see the lights of the city and the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel – and maybe even Dollywood’s fireworks! On the deck, enjoy a cup of coffee at the table for 2 in the mornings. At night, enjoy a glass of wine or some local moonshine or climb into the hot tub and soothe tired muscles. It’s a great place to rejuvenate and reconnect.

Other Amenities
This cabin was made for peaceful getaways, tucked among the trees in the Great Smoky Mountains. Inside, it’s outfitted with lots of conveniences. It features a DVD player and VCR, an iron and ironing board, a charcoal grill for cookouts on nice nights, and a washer/dryer. It’s a space that makes you feel at home while reminding you that you’re away from it all.

MUST HAVE 4-wheel drive year-round for the steep driveway at Swept Away. Trucks and SUVs are strongly recommended.

Reviews for Gatlinburg Swept Away

  • "This cabin is beautiful! Nicely decorated and the views are absolutely breath taking. The kitchen is well equipped and you even get a nice bag with dish soap, a sponge, and some other everyday items. The only advice I can give is that you take a 4-wheel drive vehicle, you really do need one. Also, do not follow the directions on the GPS or go by the numbers on the mail boxes! If you rent this cabin, the driveway is actually before the address (just something to keep in mind), which makes it a little bit more difficult if you get in after dark. Overall it is beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean as well. Although we could not see neighbors, we could hear them, but not enough to make a difference. If you're looking for a cabin with excellent views this is the one. 15 mins to downtown Gatlinburg & 15 mins to Dolly Parton's Stampede."

Thank you so much for the review! We will look at the cabin description for updates on the location of the driveway to the address! However, we are so glad to hear that the cabin supplied you with beautiful views during your stay and look forward to having you stay with us again soon!

  • "You won't regret booking this cabin! We booked this for a quick little getaway for 2 people, and it did not disappoint. The views were absolutely spectacular no matter which way you looked, and the privacy was amazing! We enjoyed our nights in the hot tub drinking a glass of wine and looking at the lights in Pigeon Forge - we even saw fireworks from Dollywood one night! Our days were spent playing pool or grilling out. We had planned to get out and explore some of the things Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge have to offer, but once we were in the cabin, we didn't want to leave! We had a strong storm with 50-70mph winds come through one night and it knocked down a few trees in the driveway. We called customer service and they had someone out within an hour with a chainsaw to help. Speaking of the driveway, don't be dumb like us and take a 2WD vehicle. The driveway is STEEP and most of it is gravel. You'll need your 4WD, I promise. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic experience and are already planning dates to book this cabin again!"

From the spectacular views to the soothing hot tub soaks to playing pool and everything in between, we are so glad you enjoyed your cabin stay at Swept Away! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful feedback, and we are with you on recommending 4WD for this cabin. We are super thrilled to serve you again in the future — get ready to be Swept Away in the Smokies all over again!

  • "The Swept Away Cabin is a fantastic cabin inside and the views are too. We went for our 15th Anniversary; the pictures on the website are true. It is the perfect cabin for a couples get away. I suggest bringing all you will need and don't leave until check out!!!"

  • "We had a wonderful time at Swept Away, and I actually proposed on our 2nd night there! It's a perfect cabin for a romantic getaway, it is VERY secluded! Word to the wise however: when they say four-wheel drive is recommended, they mean it! I'm from the country and I've taken my car up many hills that people said required 4wd, that's not the case here. We ended up arriving after-hours and carrying our luggage up the 1/3 mile driveway in the pouring rain and utter darkness! If you don't have an SUV or truck, you'll want to rent/borrow one to get here. It is 100% worth it though, as this is a wonderful cabin and there was literally nothing that we didn't like! We will absolutely be going back,we're already planning our next trip!"

  • "We spent the weekend in “Swept Away” and were so pleased. Although we had some definite issues because we didn’t have a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway (had to walk in the rain at night up the hill. Arrived late at night and didn’t have cell service to call for help at the time!), the company definitely made it right with us. They were understanding and helpful. The cabin itself had absolutely gorgeous views! Super secluded and great for a little romantic getaway. It was clean and beautiful when we finally made it up there. :) We ended up getting engaged in your cabin!:) thanks so much for being part of our story! :)) The breathtaking view made it so special!"

  • "The view is amazing... Has to be one of the best in the area, just make sure that you have a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway and your stay will be perfect!"

  • "We stayed in Swept Away, Beautiful cabin! Close to town but very private. Clean. Oh the views! Amazing. One morning, it looked like we were in the clouds. Only downside was the driveway was a little rough because of some washed out areas and there is some construction going on outside the fence. A 4x4 is a MUST!! But trust me the views are worth it. Would highly recommend and I would love stay again."

  • "Beautiful view. A very nice playroom/sleep area for the kids. We liked being able to observe them as they played. "

  • "This cabin is amazing! The view is breath taking and you won't be disappointed! We will definitely stay here again!"

  • "We had a great stay at Swept Away. The cabin was beautiful and the view is amazing. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must - the driveway is steep and rough."

  • "This was one of the most beautiful spots I have ever stayed. The scenery was gorgeous and the views from the deck were amazing. Everything inside was so clean and organized and felt so homey. We had the best time and will definitely be back!"

  • "I highly recommend this cabin! It is very close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The views from the back porch are amazing plus waking up and seeing it from the bedroom. Everything was great about it. The driveway is a little steep but not too difficult to get up. I would highly recommend for any couple :)"

  • "If u want to be in a beautiful cabin at the very top of the mountain then this place is perfect. So beautiful inside and the view was breathtaking. The driveway was very steep but we had a all wheel drive car and it was fine but it was a little nerve-wracking. Overall I would stay again and again"

  • "We stayed in the Swept Away Cabin in Gatlinburg. It was an absolute amazing place the view was beautiful. Highly would recommend!!"

  • "The cabin we stayed in was Swept Away, and it was beautiful and just what we were looking for the honeymoon. The cabin itself was clean and cozy. The area where you parked was also clean, and we had no issues there whatsoever; however, the driveway had a lot of over grown plants that did scratch the vehicle we used, but other than that 10/10 recommend! We also didn’t get there til 8pm, and when I emailed them to let them know, they were so kind and understanding!"

  • "Very beautiful Cabin, I read the reviews about how steep the drive way is and I’m glad we took a 4x4 truck. Everything else was great."

  • "We really enjoyed staying at our cabin in Gatlinburg mountains was very beautiful"

  • "Great place to stay, great views, secluded for privacy, and a close distance from town we will be back !"

  • "This place is AMAZING! It was very clean, very tastefully decorated and oh so cozy. It is literally at the very tip top of the mountain. We took a 4x4 Truck but some of the “hairpin” turns to get to it were a little concerning in a big vehicle until we got use to them. Definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The bed was very cozy but had a very soft mattress, which some prefer but was too soft for me I had trouble sleeping in it on the second night. That is all just personal preference though. It is very private with a great view which we loved!"

  • "We loved the cabin! It was very private and the view was incredible. Everyone looking at booking should know that the drive up the mountain is VERY steep and a little tough to navigate. It’s very worth it if you have a good four wheel drive vehicle and some confidence though! We would definitely stay again."
