We loved our stay here! The cabin was so cozy and the view was awesome. Everything went smooth from start to finish. The cabin was stocked with what we needed. The road up the mountain was an adventure, too! It was our first time to The Smokies and we were lucky to stay in such a cute place. Our son loved everything about it.

The cabin is cozy, comfortable, and well equipped. My kids didn't want to leave it to go sightseeing. It was the perfect place to spend Christmas. There was no snow, but the view was still breathtaking. The road up the mountain is good, but it can be challenging if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle and is not used to curves and slopes, even if the weather is good. So plan accordingly! All in all, it was a great stay and we plan to go back. Thank you, Cabins For YOU, for hosting us.
Response from Cabins for You
We're absolutely thrilled to hear that you and your family had such a wonderful and cozy Christmas stay at Lazy Bear Retreat! It warms our hearts to know that the cabin provided the perfect setting for your holiday getaway, even without the snow. Your feedback about the road up the mountain is greatly appreciated, and we'll make sure to include that information in our future guest communications. We can't wait to welcome you back for another memorable stay with us, Alessandra!

No complaints about staying here. If you want a private stay at literally the top of the mountain stay here. It’s a long drive up the mountain but worth it. Everything was clean, hot tub was clean and hot, soft clean beds, perfect for 2-3 couples or small family. 30 min to Gatlinburg, 20 min to grocery store. All round beautiful and enjoyable stay

Absolutely WONDERFUL!

Our cabin and stay was exactly what our family needed! The ride up the hill was a little scary the first time up but after one time, you're a champ. We rented a pick up truck with 4 wheel drive. We saw a bear down the road that the cabin was on! We couldn't believe it!! They provided, dish detergent, towels, kitchen ware, toilet paper, trash bags. There is a coffee pot so be sure to bring your coffee and creamer to sit on the porch in the morning. The kids (17 and 11) had a great time playing games and hanging out in the basement. The hot tub was wonderful for all 4 of us to enjoy together. Overall, this stay was amazing and we cannot wait to return someday! Thank you!!

Overall had a great time

We booked this property for a last minute roadtrip to Tennessee with our dogs. The property lists a maximum of two dogs but the lister was great about working with us to allow our 3 small breed dogs to attend. First, and most importantly, our dogs had a fantastic time. They thought the cabin was amazing. They loved the open space, all the windows to look out, and being able to run up and down the stairs. It was clear they felt totally at home. From the human perspective, I'll go through the pros and cons: Pros: -The cabin is a newer build so the kitchen, bathrooms and fixtures are modern -Washer and dryer included -The beds were super comfortable! -The view is spectacular! -Plenty of towels provided. -Felt very warm, cozy and homey. Cons: -The cabin did not seem very clean, which is something I saw other reviewers comment on as well. It was clean in the main, noticeable areas. But in the less viewed, harder to reach areas you could tell it was seriously overlooked. The corners of the stairs, behind the toilet, the corners of the rooms, at the base of the kitchen counter, etc. Basically all the areas dust blows to and collects looked like they were not touched in a long time. I think a good, thorough, deep-clean of all the hard-to-reach areas is in order. -Location. When we booked this property, it was simply listed as being in Pigeon Forge. The address was withheld until booking for safety reasons. When we finally did receive the address, we realized the cabin was a solid 30 minute drive from any activities in Pigeon Forge. I think it should be disclosed on the listing that it is actually 30 minutes from Pigeon forge. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lazy Bear Retreat and wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely return to stay here or recommend this place to family and friends.
