Description

Need a retreat for a weekend hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a romantic getaway, or week away with family and friends? Hiker’s Hideaway is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin for 8 guests in beautiful Wears Valley. Tucked among the trees in Hidden Mountain, this log cabin with lovely log interiors features cozy spaces, games, and modern amenities for a fantastic stay in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Cozy up in front of the stacked stone gas fireplace in the living room and enjoy king-size beds in the bedrooms — one on the entry level and one on the lower level — plus indoor jetted tubs and full baths. A washer and dryer are nice conveniences, and you’ll find a queen-size sleeper sofa in both the living room and the game room. The fully equipped kitchen features natural wood cabinets and white appliances, with the tools you need to create meals and snacks for your group.

Hiker’s Hideaway has plenty of entertainment, too, with a media space in the rec room — featuring a huge 8-foot-wide projector screen, surround sound, satellite TV, a DVD player, and comfy seating all around. Want more? You’ll have a pool table upstairs, foosball and air hockey tables, and a Sony PlayStation II and MS Xbox! Outside, climb into a soothing hot tub, sit back with a book on the porch swing (on the lower deck), fire up the gas grill, and relax in the outdoor seating.

Living Room
When you arrive at Hiker’s Hideaway, leave your bags at the door and head inside for a rest in the living room, boasting hardwood floors, a high ceiling, plus a plush sofa (doubles as a queen sleeper) and love seat. On chilly evenings, bust out the homemade cocoa for a chat by the electric, heated fireplace with a stacked stone border. And for a little entertainment, set out snacks and drinks on the coffee table and flip on the flatscreen TV!

Kitchen
With an open concept throughout the main space, you’ll find the kitchen only steps away from the living area. Fully equipped with major and minor appliances, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, mugs, and more, this kitchen will certainly come in handy for mealtimes. Whip up fresh breakfasts, heat up restaurant leftovers for lunch, fix family feasts, and sneak away midnight munchies!

Dining Area
Just off the kitchen lies the dining area, featuring a wooden table with 3 matching chairs and a bench. Combined with the living room seating nearby, everyone will have a comfortable place to dine within earshot of the group so conversations can flow with ease. This space is also perfect for board and card game fun — bring your favorites, and it’s a party!

Rec Room/Loft
Alright, it’s game time with pool in the loft plus foosball and air hockey in the rec room downstairs! Play to win, enjoy calm rounds, or grab a few cold ones and support your chosen victor instead. In the rec room, you’ll also find a theater with comfy seating (including a queen sleeper sofa), an 8-foot-wide projector screen, surround sound, and satellite TV! Toss buttery popcorn with a little parmesan, grab a few sweet treats and sodas, pop in a DVD, and let movie night begin.

Bedrooms
Ah, bedtime at Hiker’s Hideaway is relaxing indeed, with a king-size bed, mounted flatscreen TV, and an indoor jetted tub in each of the 2 bedrooms. Treat yourself to spa night every night with bubbles, scented candles, and tranquil tunes with your bath. And don’t forget the 2 queen sleeper sofas in the home (one in the living room and the other in the rec room) for extra sleeping space. Plus, there are 2 full bathrooms, meaning getting ready for bed or fun in town won’t be a hassle with your group.

Outdoor Spaces
Head outdoors at the semi-private Hiker’s Hideaway for sways in the swing, soothing soaks in the hot tub, cookouts with the gas grill, or quiet time in the rocking chairs — with tree-studded views all around! There’s even a cushioned seating area on deck, perfect for chats and snacks with your besties. Ready to head to town? Walk down only 4 steps to the flat, gravel driveway with parking for 3, hop in the cars, and venture to downtown.
