Best Restaurants for Large Groups in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge
Although you can always serve up easy-to-fix meals in the cabin—like pre-packaged breakfast items and cold-cut sandwiches for lunch—you’re not going to want to worry about providing food for every meal. That’s why we’ve come up with a list of some of the best restaurants in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg that not only have great food but also won’t back down at the sight of your large crew! Keep in mind, too, that catering to the cabin is another great option for a large group. Be sure to check out these restaurants’ websites for more information on take-out meals and catering menus.
Crockett’s 1875 Breakfast Camp
(1103 Parkway | Gatlinburg) – A personal favorite, this local pancake spot serves up large portions of delicious breakfast food favorites. Muffins, candied apples, fresh biscuits, French toast, sizzling breakfast plates, thick griddle cakes, oatmeal and grits, omelets…they have it all. And their picnic-table style seating invites large groups to sit down for great meals.
Mama’s Farmhouse Restaurant
(208 Pickel Street | Pigeon Forge) – First on our list is Mama’s Farmhouse—a restaurant with hearty Southern food and an impressive list of awards – including from the 2015 International Biscuit Festival and TripAdvisor (2017 Best Family-Friendly Restaurant and 2018 Certificate of Excellence). This Pigeon Forge restaurant is serving up all of Mama’s old specialties, from Country Fried Steak to Turkey n’ Stuffing. Their meals are all-you-can-eat served family style, and they’re ready to serve your group anytime—breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que
(714 River Road | Gatlinburg and 2910 Parkway | Pigeon Forge)—Next on our list is another TripAdvisor favorite with two locations, Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que! This locally owned joint has been dishing their real hickory smoked bar-b-que since 1991, and they’ve been hailed the county’s best ribs and bar-b-que for several years in a row. If this sounds appealing for your large group, check out their website for more information on large-group dining as well as catering options. BBQ is a staple in the Smokies, so don’t miss out while you’re here! Bonus: BBQ is an easy way to feed a large group!
Calhoun’s (1004 Parkway | Gatlinburg and 2532 Parkway | Pigeon Forge)—This fan-favorite restaurant has been a staple for Gatlinburg restaurants and also has a location right in the center of the Pigeon Forge shopping area. Calhoun’s has a wide variety of menu options, from fresh-ground burgers to Tennessee bar-b-que to surf n’ turf combos. They even have a gluten-free menu for guests with allergies or food sensitivities. For more information about their catering and banquet options, click here.
Alamo Steakhouse (705 E Parkway | Gatlinburg and 3050 Parkway | Pigeon Forge)—Finally, a Smoky Mountain favorite is Alamo Steakhouse, named one of the best restaurants all-around in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! At the Alamo, you can try their lunch or dinner menus, which include soups, salads, seafood, and—of course—steak! The Texas T-Bone and the El Presidente Porterhouse are just a couple of their mouth-watering options. If you’re interested in having your group outing at the Alamo, click here.
Dollywood (2700 Parks Blvd | Pigeon Forge) – While it’s technically an attraction and not a restaurant, there are tons of restaurants at Dollywood that meet the “great for large group dining” requirement. Southern food at Aunt Granny’s Restaurant, Dolly’s favorite foods at Front Porch Cafe, and tons of options at Grandstand Cafe, Granny Ogle’s Ham ‘n’ Beans, Hickory House BBQ, Lumber Jack’s Pizza, Market Square Skillets, and many more offer something for every taste in your large party!
