The Apple Barn — Cider Mill & General Store

What better way to get a taste of the gorgeous Tennessee countryside than by literally sampling an array of scrumptious treats all consisting of ingredients grown in Sevier County - on the charming Apple Valley Rd just off the Parkway? The Apple Barn Cider Mill & General Store in Sevierville is just the place to explore the Smoky Mountain hills. Strolling through the property of The Apple Barn, you’re surrounded by 4,000+ (and counting) trees, which actively produce a wide assortment of homegrown fruit. The Apple Barn provides visitors with an experience unique to the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area, as it is actually a renovated cattle barn native to Tennessee and Sevier County.

With fresh apple cider, apple butter, apple donuts, jams and jellies, apple fritters, fresh-picked apples, homemade pies and treats, candy, ice cream, a restaurant and winery, a general store with traditional goods, and a beautiful location among the Great Smoky Mountains, The Apple Barn harbors a wonderful blend of Tennessee charm and tastes!

Cider Bar & Apple Pie Kitchen
In addition to conducting a renovation on the barn, The Apple Barn created the Cider Room where guests who choose to vacation in one of our beautiful cabin rentals in the fall can stop in and watch an assortment of apples being pressed into mouthwatering cider, which many claim is the best they’ve ever had! In fact, the cider (including hard cider options) at this cider house is so delicious that the Cider Bar had to be opened due to the high demand of glasses of cider while at The Apple Barn!

At the Cider Bar, guests are invited to sit back, relax, take in the cherry and onyx-back bar, and indulge in some of the tastiest cider (made on-site), whether it be hot or cold. Don’t worry though, if the Cider Bar leaves you hungry for more apple treats, you can swing by the Apple Pie Kitchen where homemade treats such as apple dumplings, apple doughnuts, and fried apple pies are pulled fresh out of the oven daily.

General Store
If you have friends and family missing out on your Smoky Mountain vacation and anxiously awaiting your return with goodies, The Apple Barn General Store is the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind gifts or souvenirs to bring back home. The General Store is unique to the area because it offers a large variety of handmade mountain crafts plus apples and ciders, food items, home decorations, and collectibles!

You’ll get that old-time feel of a classic American general store set within the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Nostalgic for some and a nod to the “good ole days” for others, the general store is a fun stop during Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge getaways. It’s especially charming at Christmas!
