Description

Located in the Tekoa Resort, about 10 miles away from downtown Pigeon Forge, is Black Bear Lodge, a beautifully designed pet-friendly log cabin with stone accents and fantastic amenities. Roomy enough to house 23 guests, Black Bear Lodge is ideal for family reunions, company trips, couples’ getaways, or church retreats. Whomever you invite, you’ll have 6 bedrooms as well as 5 queen sleeper sofas to divvy up between your guests.

This 3,600-square-foot cabin also features a living room that doubles as a theater room, a loaded rec room with multiple game tables and arcade games, a gas fireplace in 5 of the 6 bedrooms, an indoor jetted tub that overlooks the Smokies, and an outdoor hot tub large enough for several guests. That said, you won’t have to worry about catching cabin fever at this semi-private lodge in the Smokies! With so many ways to please and entertain your guests, Black Bear Lodge is a great choice for your next large group gathering in Pigeon Forge.

Living Room | Private Theater
Situated between the kitchen and the dining room, Black Bear Lodge’s living room is large enough for half of your group or more during your Pigeon Forge stay. Three full-size couches provide comfy seating while you and your guests relax in front of the huge flatscreen TV that comes with this cabin.

The black curtain surrounding the screen and the floor-length drapes on every window mean you can easily darken the room and turn your living room into your own private theater! Black Bear Lodge also provides access to a Blu-ray player, DVD player, and VCR, making your movie-watching experience easy and convenient.

Other uses for the large living room inside Black Bear Lodge include company presentations, holiday gift exchanges, and family game night. And for more ways to entertain your group while you’re away, simply head to downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge (you’re about equal distance from each at Black Bear Lodge). There, you’ll find a variety of group activities, including a visit to Dollywood and a whitewater rafting trip down the Pigeon River.

Kitchen
In its own nook just off from the living room is Black Bear Lodge’s large kitchen. A shot-gun style space, this kitchen has all the large appliances you’ll need for a large group getaway, including a dishwasher, French door refrigerator, electric oven, stove, and over-the-range microwave. Countertop appliances furnished by this cabin include 2 blenders, 2 coffeemakers, cookware, dishes, a knife set, and more.

On nights when you’re not visiting delicious downtown eateries like The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, plan for an intimate group meal in the cabin. You can easily prepare large casseroles, pots of soup on a wintry day, or grab-and-go items for quick and budget-friendly spreads.

Dining Room
On the opposite side of the living room is the large dining space that comes with Black Bear Lodge. Two log-style tables along with 6 matching benches provide seating space for at least 12 in your group. Several large floor-to-ceiling windows surround the table, providing generous amounts of natural light and distant views of the Smokies while you enjoy in-cabin meals.

Although this table is designed for mealtime, feel free to use it for any of your group’s needs: presentations, game night, craft time, etc. Or keep it stocked with local munchies from specialty stores like The Apple Barn General Store in nearby Sevierville. Their homemade apple butter spread over fresh-from-the-oven biscuits pairs perfectly with a steaming cup of coffee in the morning!

Game Room
Pigeon Forge provides plenty of unique attractions and exciting things to do during your Smoky Mountain stay. You can take a hummer tour with friends, try hiking with a llama (yes, that’s really a thing!), or go ziplining for the first time. But what’s awesome and incredibly convenient about staying at Black Bear Lodge is the entertainment you’ll find right inside its 4 walls!

This cabin’s game room is spacious, surrounded by large windows, and stocked with all the game tables you love: foosball, pool, and air hockey. You’ll also find 2 arcade-style games: a multicade machine and a Hoops Double Shot Basketball Game. Besides all the fun and games this room has in store, you’ll find 2 full-size couches, a big screen TV, and a gas fireplace. So curl up with a book, plan a foosball tournament, watch a favorite show, snuggle in front of the fire—the options for fun just keep going at Black Bear Lodge!

Bedrooms
A great Pigeon Forge cabin for large groups is one that allows you to hang out together during the day but still have your own space to relax in at night. Black Bear Lodge does just that with its 6 private bedrooms—each offering a king-size bed, unique bedding in the style of the Smokies, its own TV, and homey furnishings like ceiling fans, bedside lamps, and large windows.

In some of the bedrooms, you’ll even find direct porch access and indoor jetted tubs, and 5 of the 6 bedrooms offer gas fireplaces. The final bedroom is a great choice for kids or singles—it provides a twin-over-full bunkbed. And for extra sleeping space, take advantage of the 5 queen sleepers provided by this cabin. These multiple sleeping spaces combined with 4 full-size bathrooms allow Black Bear Lodge to easily accommodate your 23-person getaway to the Smokies!

Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor adventures like the Alpine Slide at Ober Gatlinburg are one of the main reasons to visit the Smokies. You’ll get to view the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains up close, smelling the wildflowers and seeing the lush greenery on the trees. But staying at a cabin like Black Bear Lodge allows you to experience the beauty of the Smoky Mountains and surrounding trees even more intimately—because you’ll be around them from dusk ‘til dawn!

Head to the rocking chair porch with a cup of Joe in the mornings, then soak beneath the stars in your outdoor hot tub in the evenings. Cook on your charcoal grill while you look out to the distant blue-haze mountains, and simply enjoy your semi-private escape in the woods. At night, bring your marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers, and get ready for s'mores by the wood-burning firepit outside!

*Firewood not provided

Here you’ll experience the sounds of nature without the distractions of downtown. All these and more are ways Black Bear Lodge makes your Smoky Mountain experience worth the 10-mile drive from Pigeon Forge!

*Traveling to this property with a trailer can be difficult; please be prepared.
