The expansive Pigeon Forge trolley system, the Fun Time Trolley, is a mode of transport used by many of our vacationers, using the city’s wheels to take them to and fro throughout the city. Low fares and handy pick-up locations make the Pigeon Forge trolley system a hassle-free and wallet-friendly way to see the sights of the Great Smoky Mountains!

In business since 1986, the Fun Time Trolley aims to provide a safe, affordable, and convenient type of transportation to the thousands of visitors that call the Smoky Mountains their vacation destination. A fleet of more than 30 trolleys boasts various routes, taking you far and wide throughout the city. Informative drivers provide an entertaining and educational ride while stopping at more than 100 locations in this exciting mountain town.

If you have ever visited the town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, during the peak seasons, you know that traffic can be a little harrowing. Parking spaces are sometimes difficult to come by and often include a long walk to arrive at your destination. The Fun Time Trolley takes all of the stress out of navigating around town, allowing the professional drivers to do all of the work for you.

Even if you are visiting during a slow and quiet time of year, the Fun Time Trolley is a great way to get out and see the town. Leave your car at one of the nearby pick up locations or reserve one of our Pigeon Forge cabin rentals that offers a location within walking distance of a trolley stop! Climb aboard, take your eyes off the road, and enjoy checking out the sights and sounds as you pass through downtown Pigeon Forge.

Fares for the Fun Time Trolley range from 50 cents to 75 cents – pennies on the dollar when you consider the cost of gasoline in your own vehicle! Children ages three and under ride the trolley for FREE. Planning on being out and about all day? The Fun Time Trolley All Day Pass is quite a bargain; for only $2.50 you can ride as much as you want all day long!

Routes

The Pigeon Forge trolleys run every 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the route. The trolley routes travel all along the Parkway, as far as the Gatlinburg Visitors Center to Dollywood and Wears Valley. No matter what place you have planned on visiting on your Pigeon Forge vacation, the trolley likely has a stop for you!

The North Parkway route departs from Patriot Park and travels all the way to Walmart and Governor’s Crossing Mall at the end of town. On this route you can shop at Tanger Outlets, stop by the Apple Barn, and visit the Pigeon Forge Welcome Center.

The South Parkway route also departs from Patriot Park but heads the other way, by the Historic Old Mill. Attend the Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction when you ride this trolley!

The Gatlinburg Welcome Center trolley is pretty self explanatory, departing from Patriot Park and heading to the educational Gatlinburg Welcome Center. This non-stop trolley is a great way to explore all that the towns have to offer.

The Dollywood trolley travels all day to and from the area’s famed amusement park. This route runs from 30 minutes before the park opens until everyone has returned in the evening, giving you a whole day of roller coasters, food, and fun.

The Dollywood's Splash Country trolley takes you to and from Dollywood’s very own water park. Traveling every 20 minutes, this route is the one you want to take to beat the summer heat!

The Wears Valley trolley will transport you through the Riverview Mall area, by the Pigeon Forge Community Center, and on to Wears Valley Road. Here you can find a unique selection of businesses, restaurants, and shops.

Pick-up Locations and Availability

The Pigeon Forge Trolley system is open year-round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. March through October, the trolleys run 8 a.m. until midnight, and November through December the routes run 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The trolleys are the perfect way to see the sights and sounds without the hassle of being behind the wheel.

As you check out downtown Pigeon Forge, you will notice many Trolley Bear signs and shelters. These are the pick-up locations, so simply kick back, relax, and wait for your ride to arrive. This safe and fun way to travel is another thing that makes Pigeon Forge so unique!

The courteous drivers of the Fun Time Trolley will assist you with any questions you have about the routes or the town. They are experts on navigating through the sometimes crowded Pigeon Forge streets. The drivers do not carry change, so please board the trolley with exact change prepared for your ride.

All of the Pigeon Forge Trolleys are wheelchair-lift equipped, making them an ideal way to get around town to our guests staying in our handicap-friendly cabin rentals. In addition, the Fun Time Trolley also features a Paratransit Service, which offers curb-to-curb transportation for patrons who cannot travel to a trolley stop. Reservations for the Paratransit Service can be made by giving them a call!
