Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede

While you're in Pigeon Forge relaxing in your beautiful cabin from Cabins For You, take the time to plan a trip to Dixie Stampede. The Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy a night filled with laughter, action, and a mouth-watering four-course dinner.

Dolly Parton came up with the idea for The Dixie Stampede because she said she wanted people to experience the kinds of things she experienced when she was a child. It is truly an unforgettable experience, and everyone should attend at least once! With horses, buffalo, singers, dancers, ostriches and many other animals as well as dramatic lighting, loud sounds and pyrotechnics, you should be prepared for a heart-pounding show!

Arrive early and you can walk around the outside stables and view some of the most beautiful stars of the show – the horses! One hour before the show you will go into the Carriage Room where you will be entertained with an opening act. During the opening act you can eat popcorn or peanuts and order a soft drink or a non-alcoholic fruit drink in a collector series boot mug. When you leave the Carriage Room you will be escorted into the Dixie Stampede Arena. The show begins with a friendly rivalry on each side of the arena, where you may be selected to participate in the fun.

Dixie Stampede serves a wonderful four course meal during the show. The meal consists of a whole, tender rotisserie chicken, a mouth-watering hickory smoked barbeque pork loin, Dixie Stampede's creamy vegetable soup, homemade biscuits, buttered corn on the cob, a wonderful herb basted potato, Dixie Stampede's own special dessert, and all the Pepsi, tea, water, and coffee you could want. They also offer a vegetarian meal that substitutes the chicken and pork loin with garden vegetable pasta.

Keep in mind that the Dixie Stampede is a year-round event, and the Christmas spirit from Winterfest pours into the arena for the Christmas at Dixie performances. From November to December, the Stampede transforms into an authentic snow globe, complete with ice skaters falling from the ceiling, a live nativity scene, Santa and his elves and so much more! You could also be an audience member chosen to participate in a chicken chase, a wreath toss or a reindeer race. It’s an event not to be missed.
