Reviews for The Bird Hallar

Brittany
This was a older but beautiful house. It had everything we needed for our stay. And only 15 mins to downtown. The only complaints I have is that there is a lot of trash on the grounds coming from the neighbors house. I understand this is not the fault of cabins for you or the owner of the house. It does look bad for the 1st impression. The trash is all along the driveway going up the hill to get to the house. My other complaint would be that when the jets were on in the tub it left a orange color ring around the tub. Im not sure of that is just hard water stains but it definitely wasn't there before the tub was filled up. It has also happened in one of the bathroom sinks. Other than these issues we had a great stay.
Response from Cabins for You
Thank you for choosing our cabin and for the helpful feedback. I’m glad the home had what you needed and the location worked well for you. I’m sorry about the trash along the driveway and the orange staining in the tub and sink, I know that can tarnish a first impression. We’ve reported the litter to the owner and local maintenance so it can be removed promptly and will discuss steps to prevent it from recurring. Our housekeeping team will deep-clean and descale the jetted tub and sinks and we’ll inspect the jets/plumbing to address any mineral staining or equipment issues. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and hope to host you again. If you return, please let us know about anything we can fix during your stay so we can make it right.

Awesome place to stay while visiting the area with our two dogs! The cabin was clean and inviting with more than enough space. The fenced area is small but easy to check for bears and perfect for letting my guys out in the middle of the night. Location is secluded but still a close drive away from the national park, a great coffee shop (shout out to Gaitlinburg Grind!), and any other activity you may want to do. Satellite TV has tons of channels and was nice to watch before going to bed. Internet is slow but was enough to research the day's activities (and are you really going to such a beautiful area to be on wifi?? Get out and enjoy!). Would absolutely stay again!
Response from Cabins for You
Thank you for the five-star review! I’m glad the cabin was clean and inviting for you and your dogs, and that the small fenced area worked well for quick nighttime trips. It’s great the location felt secluded but convenient to the national park and Gaitlinburg Grind. Happy the satellite TV had plenty of channels. We’d love to host you again.

Thank you owners of Bird Hallar for sharing your cabin with us. We certainly enjoyed the views from the back deck and the dog enjoyed getting to see a bear. It was just the right size for us. The driveway while steep and a little rutted was no match for the jeep gladiator! The house was located away from others - an added bonus - it was very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The only negative was the WiFi password given by the company managing the property was wrong. If we had only looked on the refrigerator, the correct password was posted there. We will be back!
Response from Cabins for You
Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Bird Hallar—it truly makes us happy to hear how much you enjoyed the peaceful setting, the well-stocked kitchen, and those beautiful deck views. We’re especially glad your pup had a little wildlife excitement too! We completely understand how frustrating the WiFi mix-up must have been and sincerely appreciate you mentioning it so we can keep things smoother for future stays. We hope to have you back soon, thank you.

Response from Cabins for You
So glad you thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and its surroundings! It’s wonderful to hear that you got out hiking, biking, and even made it up to the top for those amazing views. We truly appreciate your patience with the internet issues and completely understand how that can be frustrating while trying to stay connected. Your feedback helps us continue improving for future guests. Thank you for sharing your experience so kindly, and we hope to have you back soon, thank you!

We arrived at 445 pm and the gate was open st the driveway. We easily opened the door with the code we were given. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We used some dishes, the toaster, and put items in the freezer and refrigerator. Wi-fi was easily accessed. The driveway was semi-steep but easily traversible.
Response from Cabins for You
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for noticing the little details about the cabin. We’re glad everything felt comfortable and that the check-in process went smoothly for you. It’s wonderful to hear the space worked well for your stay, even with the driveway’s slope. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to have you come back.

Exceptional

Loved how it felt like the cabin was in the trees. Very secluded and loved the huge porch outside. Very clean and spacious and had everything I needed to feel like home. The driveway getting up to the top was washed out and hard to get up. Need a little tlc.

We enjoyed our stay and had a fun, relaxing time.

The cabin was very nice and roomy. It was clean and had basic kitchenware for cooking. The location was close to the Arts and Crafts Community and only a few miles from the center of Gatlinburg if you wished to travel there. The mattress was very soft. :( We need firmer mattresses for our backs.

Great & Secluded

The house was great, the grill was spotless, the house is very secluded & spacious! Close enough to Gatlinburg to go anywhere you want with a short drive while also having lots of privacy surrounded by nature. Lots of squirrels jumping from tree to tree and beautiful birds all around. Perfect for a couple or a family! Will definitely stay here again!
