Location: Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Invite friends and family for an unforgettable stay at The Appalachian, a 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, semi-private cabin for 16 tucked away in the Great Smoky Mountains. This gorgeous new build in Pigeon Forge is spacious at 4,200 square feet and offers jaw-dropping views of the Smokies through floor-to-ceiling windows as soon as you step inside! Store groceries for hot breakfasts, lunchtime spreads, delectable dinners, and midnight munchies in the fully equipped kitchen before making your way to the sofa in the cozy living room for a snooze after your travels. Better yet, step onto the back deck, plop in a rocking chair, and take in the breathtaking mountain views firsthand. Who knows? You may even spot a strolling black bear below!
After resting for a bit, fire up the charcoal or gas grills on the gazebo for a barbecue shindig, then enjoy an epic movie night with your favorite DVDs on big screen TV inside. On cooler evenings, get a toasty fire going in the living room’s stacked-stone gas fireplace, whip up a fresh batch of cocoa (with extra marshmallows), grab a good book, and read the night away. Looking for something a touch more exciting? Bust out the family board games in the dining area, challenge your bestie to an arcade match, or take on the whole gang at the pool table. And let’s not forget the bonus amenities downstairs! Splash around, teach your youngest to swim, and play for hours on end in the private indoor pool, featuring stunning mountain views through large windows. And when your tired muscles are ready, hop into the bubbly hot tub for a soothing soak surrounded by nature.
Now, it’s time to head to dreamland in one of 5 bedrooms, 4 with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom (some with shower/tub combos) and 1 with a queen-size bunk bed. One of 2 master suites even comes with a mood-setting electric fireplace for romantic evenings. There are also 2 queen sleepers in the home, bringing the possible guest total to 16. Throughout the cabin, there are 5 full bathrooms and 2 half baths, so getting ready for bed won’t be a hassle for your group. You’ll also find a CD player, high-speed wireless internet, and a flat and paved driveway for 5-6 vehicles (including room for a trailer) to make your stay easy and convenient. What are you waiting for?! Smoky Mountain memories await at The Appalachian in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Feast your eyes on epic mountain views just through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the open and cozy living room. With exposed beams overhead, a stone (gas) fireplace, and hardwood floors, this space provides that sought-after cabin vibe and makes you feel right at home in the Smokies. Plop on the L-shaped, cushiony sofa and let your worries and cares drift away with the gorgeous views only a glance away. There’s also a large area rug to keep your toes comfy in winter and a ceiling fan above to keep summer days cool. At night, flip on the big screen TV for a bit of entertainment or enjoy a quiet read in the rocking chair.
With an open concept throughout the home, the kitchen is quite spacious and keeps you connected with the whole group while preparing snacks and meals. Fully equipped, this modern kitchen features tons of counter space plus stainless-steel appliances and all the pots, pans, dishware, cutlery, and mugs you’ll need to whip up and serve your favorite recipes. Brew endless pots of joe every morning, brown bagels before heading out for a healthy hike, keep fresh ingredients and restaurant leftovers in the fridge, rinse baking dishes in the double sink, and pile the mess in the handy dishwasher. Large-group meals are made easy at The Appalachian!
Just off the kitchen awaits the dining area with a large table, 4 cushioned chairs, and a matching bench, seating 6 comfortably. Combined with bar seating for 8 at the kitchen’s breakfast bar and the living room sofa mere footsteps away, everyone can dine, chat, and laugh together in one open space. When mealtimes are over, clear the dining table, kitchen counters, and living room coffee table, then spread out various board games from home for a friendly tournament.
Private Indoor Pool
After the food’s settled and a game champion has been crowned, slap on your swimsuit and head for the private indoor pool downstairs! Don’t want to lose sight of those pristine mountain views? Not to worry; you can enjoy the Smokies to the fullest while splashing in the pool, which is heated, 12 feet and 6 inches wide, 27 feet long, and 3-5 feet deep. This space boasts stone flooring, a set of cushioned wicker chairs, a matching table, a mounted flatscreen TV, beautiful scenery, and special pool features — including fountains, color-changing lights, and a tropical fish motif! The Appalachian is a true Smoky Mountain oasis for YOU.
Rec Room | Loft
Ready for more gaming fun? Head to the loft for arcade duels and pool table battles. In between victories, rest on the plump sofa and root for your best bud to win the next round. The best part? You’ll get a whole new view of the Smokies from the top of the living room’s wall of windows.
After dining, swimming, chatting, and playing, it’s time to unwind and hit the hay. The Appalachian boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 with a king-size bed and 1 with a queen bunk. Each bedroom comes with a flatscreen TV, and some offer direct deck access, keeping you close to nature. There are even 2 master suites! One master bath features an electric fireplace, which pairs quite nicely with spa baths in the garden tub. There are 5 full baths, some with garden tubs and stand-up showers (everyone can enjoy their preference), and 2 half baths. In other words, getting everyone ready to head to Dollywood in the morning won’t be a hassle. For extra sleeping space, this cabin offers 2 queen sleepers, meaning up to 16 guests may stay in complete comfort.
While the mountain views may be incredible from inside The Appalachian, for a real treat, venture onto the decks and soak in the Smokies outdoors. From wintry snow-capped peaks and spring wildflower blooms to lush trees in summer and picturesque autumn scenes, you’ll find nothing but the best views at this cabin retreat! Relax with a cup of joe in the rocking chairs or hop in the muscle-soothing hot tub and admire the mountain landscape in full. Better yet, up your shindig game with the gazebo’s gas grill and picnic table. Paired with party tunes, this will be a hip-hop-happening spot at the cabin. There’s even an additional picnic-style grill nearby if you prefer to use charcoal…or if the group is just super hungry.
There are even more amenities?! Of course — this is The Appalachian after all. This top-notch lodge provides a washer and dryer to keep laundry fresh and clean, high-speed wireless internet to keep up with the Cabins for YOU blog, and DVD, CD, and VCR players for your entertainment.
