This 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom chalet for 2 is off the beaten path, within sight of the aerial tramway at Ober Gatlinburg, and perfect for a peaceful retreat in the Smokies. Enjoy beautiful scenes of Mt. LeConte from the spacious wraparound deck that features a covered hot tub area, lounge seating, a breakfast table for 2, and a gas grill. Soak tired muscles, relax with the trees, and enjoy mountain meals together.

Hardwood floors cover the open concept living area that harbors a lovely stone (gas) fireplace, great for late night reads on cool eves in the armchair with ottoman. The sofa is plump, and the flatscreen HDTV boasts DVD and Blu-ray players plus Netflix streaming capabilities. It’s a nice place to host movie nights with popcorn and drinks on the glass coffee table.

When hunger strikes, mealtimes are made easy at Laurel Hideaway 1172. Simply stroll a short way to the kitchen — fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a double sink, pots and pans, cutlery, plates, mugs, and more — to whip up something yummy or grab a snack from the cupboard. The dining area offers seating for 4 and is conveniently steps from the kitchen area.

After meals, burn off extra calories with fun rounds of pool plus dance sessions with the stereo and remain entertained with the mounted flatscreen TV in the rec room. Bedtime is comfy and cozy in the king suite at this Gatlinburg cabin. There’s a flatscreen TV for entertainment in bed, reading lamps, and easy bathroom access. Laurel Hideaway 1172 also features an indoor jetted tub for spa baths, free high speed Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, plus community access to outdoor pools, game areas, a fitness center, and more!

Living Room

Step into relaxation as you enter Laurel Hideaway 1172. Hardwood floors flow throughout the open concept space, a cathedral ceiling elevates the room, large windows frame stunning mountain scenes, and a stone fireplace catches the eye. Settle into the living area with a rest on the sofa and the latest Netflix release on the 47-inch HDTV. Better yet, pop in your favorite Blu-ray for movie night with buttery popcorn and baked treats on the glass coffee table. On cooler nights, get a toasty fire going in the gas fireplace, flip on a few reading lamps, prop up your feet on the ottoman, sit back in the armchair, and sip a glass of local red with a good book.

Kitchen

Hungry? The fully equipped kitchen is only steps from the living area, keeping guests connected. Find granite countertops, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), a double sink, plus all the cookware and serving dishes you’ll need to prepare and enjoy meals. Keep restaurant leftovers in the fridge, stew dinner on the stove, make homemade biscuits in the oven, grab dessert from the freezer, brew joe in the coffeemaker, and pop everyone’s movie night favorite in the microwave!

Before slipping into bed for the night, light a few scented candles, play tranquil tunes, and unwind with a water massage in the indoor jetted tub. When you feel relaxed, head for the suite that features a custom king-size bed with premium linens, bedside lamps for evening reads or chats, a 40-inch HDTV for entertainment in bed, and direct bathroom access for your convenience. It’s also a great spot to get away for a little privacy or a nap during the day.

Ah, the reason you’re here — breathtaking scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains. Head onto the expansive wraparound deck to take in the beautiful views of Mt. LeConte with a meal at the outdoor table for 2. Or change into your swimsuit after a long day in town to watch the sunset hues scatter across the mountainside from the covered bubbly hot tub.

As a secluded Gatlinburg cabin, Laurel Hideaway 1172 feels like another world where you can relax and recharge in nature. There’s also a gas grill for cookouts on nice days, and lounge chairs to unwind anytime. And when you need to unload or pack the car, parking is level atop the paved, steep, and curvy driveway.

There are also tennis courts and a fitness center. Splash and soak in the summer sun, play games together, and keep up with your workout routines. You won’t have to go far from your cabin to find plenty of fun things to do (although downtown Gatlinburg is just a short drive away).

Local Fun

Laurel Hideaway 1172 is near Ober Gatlinburg — you can even watch the Aerial Tramway carry guests to-and-fro from the deck! And the cabin is a reasonable way from the heart of downtown fun with exciting attractions, like Anakeesta, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and the Gatlinburg Space Needle.

There’s also plenty of shopping and dining options to enjoy, including country boutiques and Southern pancakes. And don’t forget the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only minutes away, where you can hike, fish, ride horses, and see incredible views and wildlife.

Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area & Amusement Park

Pop over to Ober Gatlinburg to check out the ski slopes in winter or ice skate year-round. There’s also a wildlife encounter, shops and mountaintop dining, plus games and other fun attractions to enjoy here.

Gatlinburg SkyLift Park

Ride the scenic chairlift to the top of Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, take a stroll across the SkyBridge — the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America — and dine with sunset mountain views on the gorgeous SkyDeck.
