Location: Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Retreat to the Smokies at Hillside Hideaway, a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2-floor, cozy cabin with charming mountain and wooded views, creating the perfect escape for a small family or group of friends. Completely surrounded by nature, an overwhelming sense of peace, privacy, and comfort will be yours to claim. Enjoy evening soaks in the outdoor hot tub, relaxing nights by the fire, freshly baked muffins from the fully equipped kitchen, and delicious breakfasts on the back deck!
Making precious memories is inevitable as you enter your home away from home off the entry-level deck, which leads straight into the welcoming living space. Stretch out on the plump couch — complete with jumbo throw pillows — and give your hard-working heels a rest on the foot stool. Keep the curtains open for a natural-light setting or close them all in preparation for movie night on the flatscreen TV with the provided DVD player!
Before you head out on your own hiking adventure, use the handy large mirror for a last-minute outfit check or take in the wooded views from the wooden bench underneath while you wait on your companions. When you return, sit back in the glider, prop your feet up on the matching ottoman, and read your favorite wildlife magazine or inspirational paperback as you relax by the toasty fire in the gas fireplace. For warmer days, stay cool with the convenient ceiling fan and feel free to sneak a bowl of ice cream from the kitchen while you’re at it!
Located just off the living room, the fully equipped kitchen is ready when you are for morning biscuits, midday sandwiches, afternoon tea, evening pasta, and midnight pie — it’s your vacation; eat what you want when you want! Keep ingredients fresh in the fridge, wash veggies in the stainless-steel double sink, stir-fry dinner on the stove, and let the dishwasher take care of the cleanup. In the morning, brew your favorite blend with the coffeemaker and properly prepare s’mores Pop-tarts for the kids in the toaster. As a fun family activity, bake scrumptious cookies together with the animal-shaped cookie cutters and enjoy salty popcorn from the microwave while you wait!
Only a few steps from the kitchen, the dining area makes it easy to serve meals, featuring a large wooden table with 4 chairs — 2 straight out of the forest! With windows close by and a chandelier overhead, this area is perfect for spending time with friends, not only at mealtime but also on game night. Just grab a few snacks and a cold one from the kitchen and select a board game from the nearby bookshelf — be it Scrabble or Monopoly!
Head outside and around the corner to the media room, boasting a queen sleeper sofa, a couple of wooden chairs, a nearby full bath, a mounted flatscreen TV, and a movie poster. Follow the artwork’s suggestion and give an action film a go or succumb to your softer side by watching a sappy romance. Grant your teen’s wishes by giving them their own space for an evening or use the room for some quiet time away from it all.
Both bedrooms in this home feature a queen-size bed for sweet dreams, a ceiling fan to keep things chill, a full-length mirror to reflect the good times, and a flatscreen TV for nightly entertainment, making your decision super easy — it’s win-win! There’s also a full bathroom conveniently located between the 2 bedrooms with a shower/tub combo and a beautiful feature window as well. Either bedroom you choose, convenience, great TV dramas, and good nights’ sleep await!
Park your car (space for 3) on the flat, paved driveway and head directly for the wraparound deck because outdoors is where you’ll want to be at Hillside Hideaway. With a round table and chairs waiting out back, ready for the day with a steaming cup of joe and mountain views — nothing pairs better. Perfect for artists and writers alike, the back deck provides an inspirational space where creativity flows effortlessly — soak in the sounds and sights of nature and bring new visions to life.
Continuing to the other side of the home, there are 2 more entertaining deck spaces. The front deck, which leads to the lower level deck that features an outdoor hot tub area near the media room entrance, boasts a gas grill and a bench. Host a barbecue party, admire the Smoky Mountains, and unwind after your downtown excursions every evening in the hot tub — now that’s a vacation!
Taking your family to the mountains is wonderful indeed, so why not make that experience even better by bringing your family pet along? After all, Fido deserves a vacay, too, which is why Hillside Hideaway is proud to be pet friendly! Snuggles by the fireplace, new smells all around, tug-of-war with a new mountain toy…cheerful tail wags are not only expected but also unavoidable.
Post all your trip photos swiftly and with ease via the complimentary Wi-Fi. Splash around at the outdoor community pool with the kids, play a few rounds of tennis with your friends, and shoot three-pointers on the basketball courts at Shagbark, a gated community. After a day of fun in the sun, you’ll be thankful for the cabin’s washer and dryer!
While it may be difficult to leave the serenity of Hillside Hideaway, Pigeon Forge will make it more than worth it! From thrilling amusement parks and endless restaurant options to engaging museums and a mountain of shops, enhance your vacation by venturing downtown.
