While the Gatlinburg Sky Lift is bench seating and open, the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway is different type of lift that may be easier for those who are not so fond of heights. The 120-passenger windowed tram car is a great scenic experience for passengers of all ages. NEW scenic views: Anakeesta in Gatlinburg

While you may glide up the chondola’s quad chairlift or 6-person closed-cabin gondola, you can glide down through the forests on the mountain ziplines in the 70-acre aerial adventure park of Anakeesta! Hitch a ride on the convenient 12-minute lift ride from downtown Gatlinburg to the summit of Anakeesta Mountain for a unique outdoor experience fairly new to the Smoky Mountain area. Step off the chairlift and into the magical treehouse wonderland, Firefly Village.

Lean back into your rocking chair as you the warmth from the stone fire pit heats the cool, crisp mountain air. Take in the serene views of the rolling mountains while sipping on a warm coffee by the peaceful fish pond just beyond the Firefly Village shops. In the sunny Tennessee afternoon, walk hand in hand through the rope bridges of the Tree Canopy Walk for bird’s-eye views of the lush mountain forestry. Catch a selfie in the acclaimed “best selfie spot in the Smokies” with miles of majestic mountains in the background beyond the viewing patio. Beginning in the winter season of 2017, visitors can fly down the mountainside in the Alpine Mountain Coaster, gliding along the twists and turns at adrenaline-pumping speeds!
