Dreamcatchers are said to trap negative dreams while allowing the positive, happy dreams to slip through into your consciousness. What are your dreams? Do you dream of the simplicity and practicality that characterized daily life in the Appalachian Mountains for centuries? If so, this 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath log cabin, Dreamcatcher, is just perfect for you. This 1,992-square-foot custom, built-from-scratch log home sleeps 8 guests comfortably. Come live your dream. Bring your family or a group of friends to sample simplicity and get a small taste of that one-of-a-kind mountain life.

Hang your cares at the door as you enter; this is where your dream begins. A few steps into the cabin, you will be peering through a window into a simpler time. Quilts on beds and handmade afghans highlight age-old mountain crafts. Eat simple meals shared together at the table without the constant distractions of modern life. Three bedroom suites (one king, 2 queens) will usher in restful nights after busy days.  A sleeper sofa offers extra sleeping space for larger parties that night need it.

While Dreamcatcher will gently lure towards a simple lifestyle away from it all, you’ll still have the modern amenities when you want them. You will have access to every modern convenience and then some – including a fully equipped kitchen, a jetted tub, high-speed Wi-Fi so you can stay connected, and an outdoor hot tub. Only a few short miles from downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll have the opportunity to live the history, experience the society, and explore the natural world. A vacation in the Smokies takes you back to the simple mountain life. Start planning your escape to Dreamcatcher and realize your dream of simple, everyday mountain life.

Living Room
Simplicity comes to life inside the living room of Dreamcatcher. Gather your party around the electric fireplace for some quality time together. Take advantage of Wi-Fi here, flip on the TV to relax, and spread out across ample seating space with a comfy couch, armchair, and old-fashioned rockers that appear to have been fashioned by history itself. You might prefer to take a simpler route. Set up a board game and take your seats on the large area rug. Simple is good.

Whip up a meal fit for a dream in the fully equipped kitchen. Or keep it simple by reheating leftovers of the local cuisine that you’ve been sampling in the microwave. Gather to share an intimate meal, be it simple or elaborate, around the charming round table in the dining area. With deck access from the kitchen, brew a cup of coffee and enjoy from your vantage point as the sun awakens the mountain world from its slumber into its beautiful dreamy day.

Rec Room
If some kid-free time is your dream, encourage the youngsters in your party to visit the upstairs loft where they can enjoy a game of pool. Extra natural lighting from the decorative window above the front door brightens up this space. You can spend some guilt-free time without the kids, even though they’re not even really away. If they’re more independent, they might enjoy spending some time in the downstairs den. Put on a movie of their choosing as they enjoy a little extra independence.

Sleep is easy when life is simple. Welcome to a getaway full of easy sleep. Three suites offer en-suite bathrooms, which means no waiting to take a shower. The cozy furnishings are waiting to infuse your night with the most peaceful dreams. If your mind is trained to wind down with TV, each suite has its own TV. The king-sized master bedroom suite is on the main level. The jetted soaking tub in the bathroom will help to relax your mind and prepare it for a night of relaxation. Or choose to steam the cares of the day away in the walk-in shower. Two other queen-sized suites are located downstairs. Both bathrooms include a combination tub/shower.

Outdoor Spaces
Step out onto the back deck, where you will stand in awe of the scenic view of your dreams. Share coffee for two over an inspirational sunrise. Soak in the hot tub as you enjoy an artistic sunset painted by nature. A free-standing swing will provide the opportunity to sip coffee, read a book, or just enjoy the peace of nature.

Community Amenities
Dreamcatcher is conveniently located in Chalet Village Resort. As a guest of the cabin, you will have access to 3 community clubhouses, outdoor pools, lighted tennis courts, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and more. There are kids’ play areas so they can burn some energy in the fresh mountain air, walking trails so you can stretch your legs, and exercise equipment so you can stay on track even on vacation. And you can take advantage of the Wi-Fi in community areas.

Local Fun

Your dream doesn’t have to end when you wake in the morning. Your dream vacation in the Smokies might include lots of thrilling adventures, or it might include some of these simple joys.

Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community

If history is your thing, you will enjoy learning about the lifestyle of an area that seems to have been sheltered by the mountains from time itself.
