Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair

The 35th annual Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair will be going on October 7-23, 2010. If you’ve missed the past 34 Fairs then now is the time to make it up! This Craftsmen Fair highlights the many unique talents of local artisans. They will have their goods on display for purchase and will even do demonstrations of the works. This event has been a Top 20 Event in the Southern US by the Southeast Tourism Society for many years so you know it has to be good!

You’ll be able to enjoy the unique pottery skills by David Howard. His plates, lamps, vases, bowls, etc are perfect for gifts or souvenirs from your trip. Don’t miss the stained glass items made by Charles Adams. Be sure to stop by Randy McGovern’s booth. He excels in painting animals and even hiding numerous amounts of them in his work (see how many you can find). There will be many other wonderful artisans there that have unique talents. You’ll spend all day going through each person’s displays. You’ll also be entertained by Dennis Lee and Band between October 7-14 and Keith Longbotham and Band October 15-23.

This Fair is held much of the month of October. If you’ll be in town during those dates make sure to stop by the Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair. It will be held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center 10am-5pm every day. There is an admission cost for this great event. It’s $6 for adults and 12 and under are in for free.
