Location: Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Area: Sherwood Forest Resort
A great vacation rental for a small group of friends or a young family, Bear Footin’ is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin with lovely wooded views, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 gas fireplaces, a gas grill, and an outdoor hot tub. Best of all, this home away from home is only minutes from the heart of Pigeon Forge, making it easy to head to town for delicious dinners, fun attractions, family activities, comedy shows, and endless shopping. From reading a bedtime story by the fireplace and taking nightly soaks in the outdoor hot tub to chuckling at a lively dinner show and riding all the rides in town, this charming cabin is the perfect place in the best location for your Smoky Mountain getaway!
Living Room
As you step into the cabin, the gas fireplace encompassed in stone will immediately draw your eye to the living room. Plop on the love seat while the kids explore the rest of the home, or flip on the flatscreen TV to check the local weather before heading into town for a delicious meal. While you take a short rest, send the kids to count the bears (there are more than 20) inside the cabin to burn off some travel energy — it’s not called Bear Footin’ for nothing! Even the living room’s end table, coffee table, and floor lamp are adorned with cuddly bears.
When you return home from the city, put the little ones in their jammies, whip up a pot of creamy hot cocoa (marshmallow fluff recommended), add extra butter to the popcorn, and enjoy a movie night in. Once the kiddos fall asleep, pull out the twin sleeper sofa to tuck them in, using the throw pillows for additional comfort. For down time in the early mornings, start a warm fire, drink an herbal tea, read a good book, and admire the beautiful wooded views from the large windows.
Kitchen
Start the day with a freshly cooked breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen — complete with cooking utensils, cookware, dishware, drinkware, and silverware. Grab fruit from the refrigerator, toast bagels in the toaster, scramble eggs on the stove, and brew your favorite blend in the coffeemaker. For lunch, heat up last night’s Italian leftovers in the microwave and give a frozen dessert to the kids as a reward for waiting patiently at the bar area for 3. When dinner time rolls around, wash the veggies in the stainless-steel double sink (with a sprayer), cook a pot of savory soup on the stove, bake cornbread muffins in the oven, and let the dishwasher take care of the mess!
Dining Area
With enchanting wooded views all around, dining at Bear Footin’ will be a real treat! Located right across from the kitchen, the dining area makes it easy to serve at mealtime. Place the main dish and sides in the center of the wooden table so everyone can sit comfortably (on 4 cushioned chairs) throughout the meal. Around midday, clear the table and take advantage of the natural light for some arts and crafts with the little ones.
Loft | Rec Room
Head upstairs to the loft for treetop views and recreational fun! Show your friends what a champion pool player looks like or completely miss — no shame. If pool isn’t your game, take a seat on one of the 2 stools and have a rousing round of tic-tac-toe with your bestie. Should the playful crew get a bit too rowdy, turn on the ceiling fan to keep the rec room cool. In the meantime, set up the checker rug from the game bag on the wall for a more relaxed pastime.
Bedrooms
Just off the loft area lies a bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom, a gas fireplace, a recliner across from a TV, a ceiling fan, and a dresser with a mirror. Get a good night’s sleep on the queen-size bed, complete your morning workout on the large area rug, and listen to the crackling fire as you watch a funny movie with the DVD player. The entry level harbors another bedroom with a king-size bed, a flatscreen TV, a ceiling fan, and 2 wall mirrors. Share one of your mirrors to help everyone get ready for the day, stay up all night watching your favorite show in bed, and fetch a midnight snack from the kitchen with ease.
Outdoor Spaces
At the end of the cabin’s flat, paved driveway (motorcycle friendly) awaits 2 parking spaces close to 5 alluring steps that will happily guide you to the cabin’s deck, where the real fun begins! Set your tea on the small table and unwind in one of the 2 rocking chairs as you listen to the morning birds’ song and inhale the mountain-fresh air. Leave the double doors from the living room open while your party enjoys a nice barbecue dinner — courtesy of the gas grill — at the picnic table. Better yet, skip the meal altogether and head straight for the hot tub, which has a privacy wall on one side and a woodsy view on another!
Other Amenities
Offering even more amenities, Bear Footin’ provides a washer and a dryer to keep the laundry to a minimum, high-speed wireless internet to keep in touch with your friends (or to binge-watch the latest season release on Netflix!), and access to a community pool through Sherwood Forest Resort. Wash and reuse the provided towel sets, post videos of your Pigeon Forge adventures, and splash around with the kiddos all day!
Get ready for souvenir hunting, rollercoaster riding, go-kart racing, fact learning, and merry eating in Pigeon Forge, only a few minutes from your cabin. With more than enough to do and tons more to see, you won’t be disappointed vacationing in this city.

"The cabin is lovely, it looks just like the pictures. Cabin was very clean and everything was in great working order. I loved everything about this cabin, if I said anything negative it would be it’s not very far up on the hill so you don’t get as much as a sense of being in the woods, nor is the view as pretty but that being said it has trees all around it so you still have privacy. Overall this is a wonderful cabin to stay at!!!"

"We just got back from our stay and already looking to go back. This cabin was beautiful with such an easy drive to get to. I saw someone mentioned the fact that there is no propane tank but it actually has a direct gas line so no tank is needed. Highly recommended!"

"I hesitated to rent Bear Footin because it didn't have any reviews. So glad I listened to my intuition. It was exactly what I wanted. It is an easy trip to town yet far enough out for peace and tranquility. There were other cabins close but Bear Footin was surrounded by trees for total privacy. An added convience was the flat parking area in front of cabin. Bear Footin was exactly as the pictures appear. Cozy and gorgeous. Loved the wrap around deck with rocking chairs. The picnic table on the deck is a perfect place for the kids to enjoy their meals. The only thing I found inconvenient was the fact they furnish a nice gas grill but you have to furnish the propane. Despite that oddity we had a wonderful time at Bear Footin !!"

"We stayed at the cabin "bear footin" while we did run into a few issues getting there a simple phone call and the staff was quick to help and get things resolved. The location was perfect, minutes away from horseback riding, ziplining, and from town. All of which we enjoyed while we were there. I couldn't say anything negative about our stay. The location was perfect, the views were great, and the hot tub was a nice addition to the stay. We cannot wait to visit again!"
"Exceeded my expectations. Absolutely wonderful time, great location, pricing was awesome ( whole cabin was cheaper than 2 room hotel) . It was clean & peaceful. Loved it."
"Loved it!"
"This cabin was exceptionally clean when we arrived. The master bedroom door didn’t lock and wasn’t a fan of the traffic going past the cabin, but we really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub while we were there."
"This is our 2nd time booking through cabins for you and I will never book through anyone else. They are very informative from the booking process to get getting to your cabin and leaving. The cabins have been very clean each time, have everything you need and have a home feel to them. We can not wait to be back in the mountains in a cabins for you cabin!"
"This was our first time in Pigeon Forge. I have to say that we had the time of our lives. It was cold, but we still enjoyed the hiking, roller coasters, moon shine and so much more. The cabin was impeccable, equipped with everything we needed. Everything was clean and cozy. All attractions were easily accessible. Customer service was amazing. I will be going back for my 50th birthday in October."
"We stayed in the cabin “bear footin” and we loved it! It had a pool table, a hot tub, and a pool table! It was gated which was nice and it was a perfect distance from pigeon forged strip and Gatlinburg! We loved it! It had two spacious bedrooms and two full baths! It was super clean!"
