Location: Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Area: Chalet Village
Tired of seeing more of the same, every day? Could you use a new view, or perhaps just a shift in perspective? Set in the very heart of purple mountains’ majesty, A Majestic View 1843 is the perfect vacation destination for you. Bring along your family or a group of close friends to this 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath retreat that sleeps 4. Allow the atmosphere to enchant you and truly refresh your view.
Inside this chalet, you’ll breathe deep and long as the gorgeous decor fills your view. You might be in the Smoky Mountains, but you won’t feel like you’re in just another mountain cabin once you step through the door. Modern furnishings, modern decor, and yes, all the modern conveniences make this space brilliant and inviting. Once you’ve taken it all in, you’ll step out onto one of the two decks and gaze in awe at the stunning views for which the cabin is named.
From your perch high on the mountain, you will have a bird’s eye view of the Great Smokies sitting in the distance, the city of Gatlinburg bustling below, and the tram regularly transporting visitors to and from Ober Gatlinburg. Watching the city move will be a unique preview into every part of your stay.
With the gorgeous views inside and the breathtaking views outside, you might be content to kick back and watch life happen from the comfort of your home away from home. However, if you long to sink your hands deep into the fun instead of just passively observing, having it all within viewing distance will make this an easy opportunity.
When life gets bland, or overwhelming, sometimes you need a change of scenery. Sometimes you just need to look at it from a different view. Or maybe A Majestic View. Perfect.
Living Room
Your view of the main living space, highlighted by lots of natural light spilling in from every direction, will be one of admiration. An inviting leather couch, loveseat, and armchair will provide ample and comfortable seating space for everyone as you gather around a cozy fire in the beautiful custom stone fireplace. Snuggle up as you watch a movie on the large flatscreen TV or spend quality time playing a board game on the glass-topped coffee table.
Kitchen
No need to forgo your view of the evening festivities in the living room in order to go to the kitchen for a snack. An open concept floor plan allows you to see it all, even if you’re standing at the full-size refrigerator. Not just going for a snack? Prepping a meal instead? Not a problem. You won’t miss a thing as you prep at the island that’s in the middle of all the goings on.
And you won’t be missing anything in this fully stocked kitchen, either. All major appliances are included to make your stay as convenient as possible. When your meal is ready, you can serve it at the dining room table with elegant settings for up to 6. Or if you would prefer a more casual atmosphere, there is room for 4 at a breakfast bar on the other side of the island.
Rec Room
To refresh the view from the inside, all you need to do is take a short flight of stairs. A staircase up leads to a loft above the main living space with quite a view of its own. Play a game of pool as you keep a watchful eye on the activities below. You can be a part of the fun and apart from the antics all at the same time!
If your view needs an even greater shift, you can select the stairs leading down into a den area/recreational room. If the big game is on in the main living space and the kids aren’t into the sports action, they will love to escape downstairs. Its 3 plush lounging chairs are perfect. Each child will have his or her own space with no arguing over whose is better! Turn on the flatscreen TV and let them kick back to entertainment that better suits their tastes, or let them play the arcade-style video game.
Bedrooms
When your eyes are weary from all the sights they have taken in during the day, the view of your bedroom will be a joyous treat! The simple but classy style won’t overcrowd the view as you’re winding down for the evening. The main bedroom hosts a king-size bed, twin nightstands with matching lamps, and a dresser to house the souvenirs you collect during your stay. There is also an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity for that extra space needed while getting ready to begin or end the day.
Wash your cares away in the shower/tub combo. The second bedroom is similarly arranged with a queen-size bed. Both bedrooms provide your evening’s last view with flatscreen TVs mounted on the walls. Sink into bed, snuggle under the covers, close your eyes, and drift into dreamland at the end of your favorite movie.
Outdoor Spaces
You’ll not want to miss the spectacular view from the 2 decks. Prepare a meal on the gas grill on the upper deck. Then, serve and enjoy it on the patio furniture, all in the middle of wide-open majesty. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy the view of the tram’s continuous journey up and down the mountain, the glow of a glorious sunset, or the sparkle of nighttime city lights. After your meal, don’t forget to unwind with a soak in the hot tub on the deck below. You’ll still enjoy the same majestic view, only with a little more privacy for you!

"Gorgeous cabin with an AMAZING view. There’s a ton to do in the area, but we wished we had an extra day to just chill and enjoy the cabin, the hot tub, and exploring outdoors around the cabin. Some roads up to the cabin were a little steep. For those (like me) who have only driven in flat areas, drop to low gear and it’s SO much easier. Also just go slow and don’t worry about people behind you - you can pull into the next driveway and they can…"

Some roads up to the cabin were a little steep. For those (like me) who have only driven in flat areas, drop to low gear and it’s SO much easier. Also just go slow and don’t worry about people behind you - you can pull into the next driveway and they can pass you. The coffee pot is a normal pot, so bring coffee, not k-cups. Food and grocery delivery available. Taxi or Uber/Lyft have to be scheduled at least several hours in advance, no last minute taxi service. We loved it and hope to come back and stay here again!"
