As a (somewhat) newlywed, I would venture to say that I may still be a bit naïve about love, romance and the like. But as I often tell my husband, I would rather him surprise me with romantic gestures throughout the year than to go big on Valentine’s Day. That being said, Valentine’s Day is still a special day, and I, like any girl who loves flowers, chocolates and being told she’s beautiful, love spending the “most romantic day of the year” with the love of my life.
While flowers and chocolates are the go-to items on Valentine’s Day, it’s always nice to mix things up a bit. What better way to do that than to plan a romantic trip away to Gatlinburg? With cozy mountain cabins, incredible scenery, fine dining, great shopping and tons of attractions, it’s the perfect place to steal away for a few days with that special someone.
