Living Area
On the entry level, Sleepy Bear Lodge has a ½ bath for your convenience, along with the warm and cozy gas fireplace, plush leather furniture, and an open and inviting floorplan. Imagine yourself cuddling up to watch your favorite movie or sporting events on the 65-inch HDTV with Blu-ray player or enjoying the peaceful and relaxing views of the mountains and woods from inside the cabin. You’ll also find the sleeper sofa here for extra guests.
Kitchen
The modern, fully equipped kitchen of Sleepy Bear Lodge features hickory cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of cookware and tableware to provide an inviting space for the chef in your group.
Bedrooms
The entry level of the cabin boasts a private primary suite with an incredible king-size bed, dresser, 43-inch flatscreen HDTV with Blu-ray player, and closet. On the covered deck accessible here, find comfortable deck chairs where you can relax.
The lower level has 2 primary suites with awesome king-size beds, dressers, 43-inch flatscreen HDTVs with DVD players, closets, and comfortable deck chairs on the middle deck, immediately accessible from each bedroom.
Outdoor Spaces
Head outside to 1 of 3 covered decks with ceiling fans to keep you comfortable as you catch the evening sunsets. The large covered deck features a gas grill and outdoor furniture for those peaceful late afternoon snacks or dinners out on the deck.
Rec Spaces
Travel downstairs where the real fun begins! The lower level features several fun-filled amenities, including a 70-inch HDTV and Blu-ray player with plenty of movies for your viewing pleasure during your stay, a foosball table, air hockey, and a multicade featuring over 60 games to challenge even the most seasoned gamer!
Swim Spa
For those interested in an early swim or just wanting to bubble their stress away, head to the third deck and get in an early swim workout or enjoy a large group relax session in the 11-person swim spa. As you unwind, stargaze or watch your favorite sporting event on the large outdoor TV – all while soaking in the spa.
Other Amenities
Gorgeous tile and wood floors run throughout the all-wood cabin, and an extra sleeper sofa is located on the lower level. Sleepy Bear Lodge also features a washer/dryer (lower level) for your convenience.
How the cabin got its name…
During construction of this cabin, the workers arrived to begin their day and discovered that a black bear had decided to take a nap on the sunny lower deck of the cabin! Apparently, he was in no hurry to leave this paradise cabin, with its view of the mountains, woods, and gentle stream at the base of the hill. Eventually, he sauntered down the property and into the woods to the west of the property.
We hope you too may enjoy this cabin as a place to relax, unwind, and maybe take a nap yourself! The area is a great place to reconnect with both nature and family and friends…a home away from life’s distractions. Who knows – you may get a glimpse of the sleepy bear!
