Summer Craftsmen Fair 2009

The next best thing to being an incredible artist is watching some of the nations finest artisans perform their skilled task. If you happen to be in Gatlinburg TN during the month of July, make an effort to stop by the convention center and browse through some artist's booths.

The Summer Craftsman Fair will be held July 17 thru 26th this year. The Fair has been occurring for 34 years and is a favorite event for locals and tourists. This event still claims an award as a Top 20 Events by the Southeast Tourism Society. There will be arts, crafts and music for everyone to enjoy!

Times for the July Fair are everyday from 10am - 7pm. Sunday's shut down at 5pm. Adult tickets to the Fair are $6 and children 12 and under are free (supervision required).

There will be over 200 booths of arts, crafts, and music at the this years fair. You can spend an afternoon at the Fair looking through different tents and exploring their crafts. You’ll find pocketbooks, wood-workings, trinkets, etc. One very exciting part of the Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair is the ability to see other artisans at their best.

Not only will there be crafts to look through but they have live performances as well. You can listen to the sounds of music by Keith Longbotham and Band from July 17-21. Dennis Lee and Band will be playing from July 22-26.

If you’re in town between July 17th-26th the Gatlinburg Craftsman Fair is a great event to check out. It will be held at the W.L. Mills Convention Center at traffic light #8 in Gatlinburg TN. Take a look around at what they offer and pick up a souvenir or two.
