Camp Thunder

At Camp Thunder “fun” is a number one priority. Camp Thunder provides four mini-golf courses for you to enjoy. There are two outdoor courses, an indoor course, and they have recently added a black light course. The outdoor 18 hole Old Town Square course features many tricky shots. Old Town Square is located right in the middle of historical cabins. The 18 hole Old Mountain Trail was designed for the more skilled mini-golfers. The landscaping on Old Mountain Trail is a thrill in its self. Throughout this mountain trial you will learn about the Cherokee Indians, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and the European settlers.

Camp Thunder also has an 18 hole indoor mini golf course. This course is decorated with many different things you could find in the Great Smokey National Park. Designed with sounds of nature, waterfalls, and even wildlife. Every hole is a challenge for the avid golfer. Every hole is a completely different adventure. Camp thunder has just recently this year added a black light golf course. It is the largest miniature golf course around. With the black lights turned on, a whole different world comes to life. A “under sea” adventure that allows you to see mermaids, fish, sharks, all types of marine life.

Also available at this family fun center is go karts. Camp Thunder holds Gatlinburg TN only indoor slick tract. You can race up to 40 laps reaching speeds up to 25 mph in gas powered go karts. Camp Thunder also provides 2-seater go karts for the parents and children. There is also a pretend steering wheel for the little ones. There is an age limit of 10 years and 54” height requirement to drive the single go karts.

You can ride “The Rock” at Camp Thunder. The Rock is an virtual-reality motion simulator,. You can experience the thrills and chills as you become a part of a movie. There are two different movies that you can take pat in “Slot Car Boogie” and “Volcano Mine Ride”. Be sure to visit Camp Thunder while in the Smokeys!
