Pigeon Forge TN - Storytelling Festival

From February 2nd - 4th, the 15th annual Pigeon Forge Storytelling Festival will be taking place at the Country Tonite Theater. Featured artist include; a cowboy poet, a champion liar, and a Grammy-winning musician. The event also includes a variety of concerts and workshops. Also included in this event is Waddie Mitchel.

He is one of the most noted cowboy poets in America. Waddie also helps organize the internationally recognized "Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering." You can also catch performance from Bil Lepp. Bil has been telling tales for almost a decade. Bil also regularly attends the West Virginia Liars Contest. Performing in this contest has lead Bil to win five Biggest Liar titles. Also performing is David Holt. David is not only a musician, but he is also a historian. David is a multiple Grammy award-winner for his storytelling. Also performing in the storytelling is Ed Stivender, Doc McConnell and Elizabeth Rose.

Also included in the Storytelling Festival is the National Youth Storytelling Showcase. The next Grand Torchbearer will be selected from the performers, that are under seventeen years of age. The National Storytelling Network presents this showcase.
