Ice Carving Competition

The Titanic in Pigeon Forge has announced a fun family activity that will dazzle spectators. On January 22, 2011 The Titanic in Pigeon Forge will play host to some amazing ice sculpturists that will participate in a competition for both professionals and amateurs. Spectators will get to watch as ice sculpturists pick and chizzle their ways to some amazing pieces of art made of frozen water.

The Pigeon Forge Titanic attraction is teaming up with the National Ice Carving Association. Competitors will duke it out for cash prizes that will be awarded at the end of the event. The event will be held from 9am to 3pm.

Not only is the Titanic hosting an ice carving competition, they are also blowing snow all winter long. That’s right, the Titanic team in Pigeon Forge has announced the purchase of snow blowing machines that will make it a white Christmas all season long. The Pigeon Forge Titanic team announced that they will spend $100,000 on Christmas decorations and the snow machines will be purchased for another $150,000. The Titanic’s Christmas celebration will begin on November 13, 2010 and run through January 1, 2011.

Tickets for the Titanic attraction in Pigeon forge can be purchased for $20.58 + tax for adults, and $9.84 + tax for children 5-12.
