Rocky Top Sports World in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is just another great attraction that brings so many visitors to the area each year. At Rocky Top Sports World, a professional tournament and events team works alongside the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau to help host parties, special events, and sports tournaments and camps throughout the year.
The complex has played host to football camps, basketball tournaments, the Smoky Mountain Lacrosse Classic, soccer camps, the All American Football and Combine, the Harlem Globetrotters Summer Camp, volleyball camps, and the 2015 Thanksgiving Bowl, just to name a few. Along with sports tournaments and camps, Rocky Top Sports World in Gatlinburg offers opportunities for entertainment and special events. The complex features more than 80,000 square feet of indoor events space, with 40,000 square feet that is weatherproof and free of any columns. The large, open space has seating capacity for several thousand people, so it can accommodate virtually any event you might want to have! You can host birthday parties, weddings, concerts, and more.
But Rocky Top Sports World is not just an indoor facility. This 80-acre sports campus features perfectly manicured outdoor facilities as well. Set in the scenic Smoky Mountains, you’ll find 6 state-of-the-art synthetic turf fields and one natural surface field. One field is a Championship Stadium Field, and 6 of the fields are fully lit for night games. The fields can be configured for 13 youth soccer fields, and there are picnic tables, bleachers, and plenty of parking spaces. There is also a play area for children to enjoy while their parents or older siblings are competing! “The Rock” indoor facility includes:

The Gatlinburg Community Center and the Anna Porter Public Library are also on site and available for use. Another great feature of Rocky Top Sports World is its central location. It’s within a few hundred miles of many major cities, so it draws in competitors from across the country. Cities within 200 miles include Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Other major cities that are less than 400 miles away include Birmingham, Alabama; Cincinnati, Ohio; Columbia, South Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Nashville, Tennessee; and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Many downtown attractions are also nearby, making it convenient to attend events at the sports complex and check out attractions on the same day. Downtown Gatlinburg is just 4 miles away, and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is just 4.5 miles away.
