About the Shine, Wine & Dine Event
What is it?
The Shine, Wine & Dine event, hosted by the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, is a fun event for locals and visitors alike, where you’ll get the chance to view artwork by top regional and national artists as well as craftspeople. The event begins with cocktails and a silent auction; the main event—dinner and the live auction—will follow shortly after. For those who participate in the auction, you’ll have the chance to take home one-of-a-kind gifts, from beautiful paintings to exquisite pieces of pottery to hand-dyed scarves. Other fun items to expect at the auction include cases of wine, exciting getaways, fun events with Arromont artists, and more. And for any fans of Antiques Roadshow out there, the auctioneer for the 6th annual live auction will be the one and only Ken Farmer!

When is it?
This event, followed by the 6th annual Art & Wine Auction, will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016, which is the day before Memorial Day weekend begins. You can plan for a half-day on Thursday and head to Smokies, arriving just in time for the cocktails to begin at 5:30 p.m. All other events—the silent auction, dinner, and live auction—will follow that evening with everything wrapping up about 9:30 p.m.

Where is it?
The Shine, Wine & Dine event will be held on the 13-acre residential campus of Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in the heart of Gatlinburg. The address for the school is 556 Parkway in Gatlinburg, TN 37738. Feel free to call (865) 436-5860 for more information.

Why go?
If you’re wondering why you should go to this event (besides the delicious food, elegant wines, and unique wares), it’s to support the next generation of artists! You can feel good about having a great time at Arrowmont when you realize your money is going toward educational programs at their school. We want to continue supporting the arts in our communities and our country at large—so this is your unique way to be a part of that mission when you visit the Smokies this year!

How much does it cost?
The Shine, Wine & Dine dinner is a ticketed event; tickets are $150 per person (but remember what you’re supporting and that your ticket includes drinks and a delicious dinner!). You can also invite enough friends to fill a whole table. This will cost $1,500 (split between 8 people), and as a special bonus, your private group will enjoy a bottle of champagne and signage at the table. Keep in mind that attendance is limited to 200 guests, so if you know you want to go, be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible!
