10 Tips for Staying Connected with Gatlinburg

When it comes to vacationing in Gatlinburg, the possibilities are nearly limitless. We’ve got 10 tips to keep you connected with all things Gatlinburg during your Smoky Mountain stay.

  1. Watch the Gatlinburg Visitors Channel. All of our Smoky Mountain cabins come with TVs—usually several. So keep at least one of them turned on the Gatlinburg Visitors Channel (channel 192) so you can get up-to-date info on what’s going on in Gatlinburg. You can also watch the channel online at Gatlinburg.com/tv192. Watch videos anywhere, anytime, whether you’re in Gatlinburg or planning to come soon.
  2. Keep your radio on local Gatlinburg channels. Another easy way to keep up with Gatlinburg news, weather, road closures, etc., is to keep your cabin radio or car radio (or both) tuned in to local channels. Try WSEV (105.5 FM) in Gatlinburg, for instance, for contemporary music and info on upcoming events.
  3. Download the Gatlinburg app. Yep, there’s even an app for Gatlinburg. Created by the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, this FREE app provides tons of information about special events, festivals, popular attractions, unique restaurants, and more in Gatlinburg.   4. Sign up for the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce’s monthly newsletter. An easy way to keep up with everything that’s going on in Gatlinburg, including attraction deals and upcoming events, is to sign up for the monthly newsletter created by the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce. All you have to do is go to their website (Gatlinburg.com) and type in your email under the “eNews Signup” icon at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Subscribe to the Downtown Gatlinburg blog. To be in the know with all things downtown Gatlinburg, subscribe to the Downtown Gatlinburg blog. You’ll find basic information about downtown Gatlinburg, Gatlinburg events, shopping, and attractions—plus a few extra tidbits on things like how to get around with a dog or the best spots to fish.
