Relaxing days await at Appalachian Splendor, a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin with space to sleep up to 6 guests in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. From afternoons spent in the porch swing overlooking partial mountain views to evenings cozied up in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, time spent at Appalachian Splendor will give you that good mountain feeling.
There is plenty to do in downtown Gatlinburg, from go karts and laser tag to distilleries and delicious restaurants. But when you don’t want to get out of the cabin, Appalachian Splendor has you covered. Grab a book and stay warm by the wood-burning fireplace, break out the board games (provided in the cabin) and have a family game night, shoot pool, play foosball, or flip on the big screen TV and just unwind. There is also a CD player, and the bedrooms have their own TVs for late-night watching before bed. Bedding includes 1 king-size bed, 1 queen bed in the loft, and 1 sleeper sofa for extra space.
Appalachian Splendor is outfitted with plenty of amenities to keep things convenient and comfortable, including a soothing outdoor hot tub, a washer/dryer, rocking chairs and a porch swing, and a grill and picnic table outside. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals for the group, and a dining table for 4 is just 1 good spot to have a meal here. You can also hang out at the breakfast bar with stools or just relax in the living room with mountain views!
*Four-wheel drive is highly recommended due to the steep driveway/parking, especially in winter.
Living Room Welcome to Appalachian Splendor! Leave your bags at the door, plop on the living room sofas, switch on the big screen TV, and let your Smoky Mountain vacation begin. Evening getting a little chilly? Toss some wood into the fireplace and light a dazzling and cozy fire, perfectly paired with a glass of wine and your favorite novel in the armchair with your feet propped on the ottoman. Kiddos want to stay up late? Pull out the sleeper sofa and give them their own space to chill in the living area.
Kitchen Just off the living room awaits the fully equipped kitchen with tons of meal prep tools, serving dishware, mugs, and more. Plus, you’ll find all major appliances and bar seating for 3. Delectable dinners, lavish lunches, bountiful breakfasts, and midnight munchies are made easy here! Brew as many pots of joe as you please, store fresh ingredients, enjoy homemade meals, bake sweet treats, and let the dishwasher clean up.
Dining Room Next to the kitchen lies the dining area with a wooden table and 4 chairs. Combined with the kitchen’s bar stools plus the sofas in the living room, everyone will enjoy a comfortable place to dine. And when mealtimes are over, clear the table for board game fun (provided at the cabin) with family and friends. It’s also a great space to catch up on emails, draw a new character for your comic series, or journal about your time in the Smokies.
Rec Room Ready to play? Head for the rec loft that overlooks the living area. Shoot pool until midnight or challenge your pals to a few matches on the foosball field! Windows showcase the lovely mountain scenery, and there’s a chair and table for breaks with a cold one.
Bedrooms When everyone’s tuckered out from playing in town and at the cabin, get ready for bed in the queen suite with beautiful mountain views through the windows. Or opt for the king bedroom upstairs with a window framing the mountain peaks. And let the kiddos or extra guests take the queen sleeper in the living room. Each bedroom offers a flatscreen TV for entertainment anytime, and the master even boasts an indoor jetted tub with a skylight overhead!
Outdoor Spaces Outdoors, enjoy scenic mountain views (stunning all year!) from the decks while swaying on the porch swing or rocking chairs at this semi-private cabin. Better yet, hop in the bubbly hot tub for a soothing soak in the trees! There’s also a picnic table and charcoal grill, great for Smoky Mountain cookouts at the cabin. And when you’re itching to head into Gatlinburg, venture to the parking area for 2 down 3 steps, back down the steep and paved driveway, and hit flat, paved roads into town.
*Four-wheel drive is highly recommended due to the steep driveway/parking, especially in winter.
