The warm wood of this structure is complemented by natural décor such as the stone fireplace and a large antler chandelier.
There is so much to do at the pet-friendly A Sweet Retreat that you just may need to stay an extra day! This cabin has a jetted tub, corn hole boards, a pool table, an air hockey table, and plenty of space for board games and even its own washer and dryer. Maybe you came to relax to the extreme. While your kids or other guests are excitedly yelling over air hockey or card games, take the stone path to the iron fire pit where you can unwind. Take a breather with your coffee or beer in the chairs by the fire and soak in the serenity of the mountains.
Living Room
The living room area is located on the main floor along with the kitchen and dining room, but don’t let the functionality of this shared space fool you – it is quite spacious! The open floor plan and high loft ceilings ensure that even a group of 12 to 14 people never feel crowded. The living room has 2 large leather couches and 2 comfy armchairs. A good-sized coffee table sits in the middle, making this living area great for game night and spillover from the dining room table. The staple of this room is the wood-burning stone fireplace. To the left of the fireplace is an LED big screen TV placed just high enough for optimal viewing for everyone. Bringing Blu-ray movies with you for lazy cabin days? Great! The living room has a Blu-ray player with Netflix access, so you can lounge and stream all day!
Dining Room
Adjacent to the kitchen and living room, the dining room area has a large wooden table with 5 chairs and a long bench that seats 3 more. The size of this table makes sitting around the table with the whole family easy and uncrowded. Don’t worry about what dinnerware to bring, because this cabin is already stocked with beautiful pieces when a nice meal calls for more than paper plates and plastic forks. It’s a great place to sit down and enjoy each other’s company.
Kitchen
The cabin and its décor may give you a rustic mountain feeling, but the lovely kitchen is certainly not lacking with all its up-to-date appliances. The large refrigerator means plenty of space for groceries and cold drinks. The spacious countertops and supplied cookware make cooking in the cabin a stress-free endeavor. The kitchen also includes a 4-eye stovetop oven, a dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, and microwave. So, even when you don’t find yourself cooking a full meal, making your morning coffee or smoothie is easy to do. Make your morning drink and just walk a few steps outside to enjoy the relaxing rocking chairs and mountain air.
Bedrooms
This spacious cabin has 4 bedrooms on the main floor, all with king-size beds. Each bedroom even has its own TV, so there will be no fighting over the remote. The bedrooms have amenities for comfort and convenience, from ceiling fans and windows to dressers for unpacking. They also feature cozy Smoky Mountain décor, making you right at home in the mountains. At the end of a busy day, these spaces will welcome you in for a good night’s rest.
Located on the main floor, adjacent to 2 of the bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms offer easy access and space to get ready. Both house large jetted tubs and stand-up, glass-door showers with benches. One also features handicap rails, added to the cabin’s accessibility.
Outdoor Spaces
The crown jewel of any Smoky Mountain cabin is its deck, and A Sweet Escape does not leave anything for want. As soon as you walk onto the porch from the driveway, you feel more serene. Enjoy the serenity with a glass of wine and a forested landscape. Toss something on the grill as you sit around the picnic table with friends and a cold drink in hand. On one side of the cabin, the porch is already set up for a game of corn hole. The other side has a big jetted tub ready for a soak. Simply sitting in the porch swing with your special person, soaking it all in, just may be exactly what you needed.
Game Room
Follow the artistically crafted handrails up the stairs to the open loft, where hours of fun await in the game room. This is the perfect space to send the kids when parents want to relax, but adults will definitely enjoy the upstairs amenities, too! The loft has a pool table, air hockey table, and foosball table. There is also another large flatscreen TV with a huge sectional couch for kicking back and watching all the fun. The large windows at the end of the room are lined with benches with cushions, perfect for sitting to read a book or waiting your turn to take the pool table from the reigning champion.
Other Amenities
Some handicap features throughout the cabin offer easier access for guests. The front and back doors have 36-inch openings, and one of the bedrooms has a 36-inch door opening as well. Other bedrooms feature 32-inch door openings, and the left bathroom has a 36-inch door opening for easier access.
