Gatlinburg Annual Rib Fest
Make sure you
are at the Annual Rib Fest for finger-licking good
barbequed ribs! You will not want to miss an
opportunity to try some of the best ribs in the
country! Southern cooking is at its best when the
best cooks in the south combine all the right
ingredients to smoke the competition! Located at the
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies Plaza, there will
be ample room for everyone to enjoy the wonderful
barbeque of
Gatlinburg. The fest lasts approximately
three and a half hours—which are full of tasting,
eating, and commenting on the masterpieces of
barbequed meat!
Along with the
barbequing, all of the face painting, juggling, and
a “hog and cow” calling contest will capture the
attention of all the people with red lips and
smiling faces. The Rib Fest is $10.00 dollars per
person for all you can eat barbeque. You will get an
arm band so that you may go to any of the rib
vendors to get your plateful. Strip tickets are also
available, which means that you pay a dollar for one
bone of barbeque, but that’s only for people who are
typically not very hungry. Once you have one taste
of the wonderful barbeque you will definitely be
going back for more!
Proceeds from
the Rib Fest benefit the Gatlinburg Lodging and
Hospitality Association scholarship fund. So, take
part in this great event to help another person go
to college! For more information on this event
