Amazing views \u2013<\/strong> Whether it\u2019s from our seat on the Aerial Tramway<\/a>, from the gondola on the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, on a hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or from a rocking chair on the deck of your cozy cabin<\/a>, the views in the Smokies are truly top of the list of things we\u2019re thankful for!<\/p>\n

2. Lazy days in the cabin \u2013<\/strong> Our Cabins for YOU cabins come equipped with everything you need for those sublime vacation days when you just\u2026do nothing. Each cabin is unique, but some of the perfect-for-lazy-days amenities you\u2019ll find include big screen TVs with DVD and Blu-ray players for movie nights, game tables (shuffleboard, pool, foosball, air hockey, and more), arcade games, comfy sofas, inviting fireplaces, rocking chairs on the deck, and full kitchens where you can keep snacks or make drinks and meals when you don\u2019t want to get out. Some cabins even have home theaters for the ultimate in-cabin movie night and private indoor pools!<\/p>\n

3. Big Southern meals\u2026and naps after \u2013<\/strong> If there\u2019s one thing the South knows, it\u2019s comfort food. From biscuits & gravy, fried chicken, and banana pudding to BBQ, chicken pot pie, and mac \u2018n cheese, Southern comfort foods are a staple in the Smokies. We LOVE filling up on a big meal and then heading back to our cabin in the mountains to relax and unwind. Some Southern favorites in the area include:

4. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park \u2013<\/strong> A trip to Pigeon Forge is not complete without at least a little time spent in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Whether you\u2019re hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, fishing, or taking a scenic drive, it\u2019s a beautiful place to spend some time. And with more than 800 miles of trails to explore, the reasons to be thankful are endless!<\/p>\n

5. The Island \u2013<\/strong> From boutique shops, Ole Smoky Moonshine, and the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel to a ropes course, celebrity-owned restaurants, and kids\u2019 activities, there\u2019s no shortage of things to do at The Island. We\u2019ve broken out (and gotten stuck) as a team at The Escape Game, watched our coworkers take the plunge on the ropes course, battled each other in arcade games, and spent relaxing days strolling together around the shops.<\/p>\n

6. Adrenaline rushes \u2013<\/strong> Mountain coasters, ziplines, go kart tracks\u2026if you want a rush on vacation, the Smokies has plenty of options. Anytime we want to kick it up a notch, we\u2019re thankful for ways to really let loose in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! Flip around at TopJump, ride roller coasters at Dollywood, fly down the river with whitewater rafting, and try something new at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving!<\/p>\n

7. Creamy fudge + sweet treats \u2013<\/strong> There are SO MANY candy, dessert, and fudge shops in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You can\u2019t go far along the Parkway without having some type of dessert flashing before your eyes. Frankly, we\u2019re quite thankful for that. When you have a sweet tooth, you\u2019ll have your pick in Pigeon Forge of fudge, old-fashioned hard candies, buttery Southern desserts, apple fritters, ice cream, donuts, and so much more.<\/p>\n

8. Family time \u2013<\/strong> More than anything, vacation is an opportunity for quality time \u2013 with family or friends. We are so thankful for a wonderful place like the Smokies<\/a> to spend time with the ones we love!<\/p>\n

9. Romantic Dates \u2013<\/strong> Pigeon Forge isn\u2019t just for families and kids. It\u2019s also a romantic place for couples! Besides beautiful wedding chapels for saying \u201cI do\u201d or \u201cI still do,\u201d the Smokies boasts plenty of fun ways to spark some romance. Tour the Rocky Top Wine Trail, watch a movie in the cabin, stroll through Patriot Park, check out the nightlife downtown, ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, or spend the day exploring Anakeesta!<\/p>\n
