Conveniently located on the Parkway in Gatlinburg, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster takes you on the ride of your life with surprising twists through the Appalachian mountains and trees\u2014all making for one exciting ride down the Great Smoky Mountains!<\/p>\n

When you ride a Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, you\u2019re in the driver\u2019s seat. First, you get to choose whether to ride single or with a friend. Then you pick your speed. Each mountain coaster is equipped with an individual brake handle, so you can enjoy your ride through the Great Smoky Mountains at a pace all your own. You can race down the mountains at blazing speeds or play it casual and take it all in. Either way, you control the ride, which means you control the fun!<\/p>\n

On the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, you\u2019ll not only get the unique experience of seeing the Smoky Mountain up close and personal, but you\u2019ll also get to hear the sounds of nature as you ride. The specially designed track system for the coaster makes for a completely silent ride, but you don\u2019t have to be silent while you enjoy it! And you can take your ride by day or by night\u2014or both! The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays (it closes at 7 p.m. every other night).<\/p>\n

As you ride, you\u2019ll get to experience the Smokies in a way that\u2019s not been possible before. The wide track and tubular rails of the coaster make for a super smooth ride through the mountains. No need to worry about being thrown around as you curve through the woods and down the Smoky Mountains! And each mountain coaster is fully equipped with safety harnesses and lap belts to keep all riders safe on their journey. All in all, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster makes for a smooth, comfortable ride your entire family can enjoy!<\/p>\n

The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is open year-round\u2014rain, snow, or shine. Some age and height restrictions apply. (See the attraction\u2019s website for more details.) You do not need any special skills to operate the brakes on the mountain coaster, nor do you need to tackle a treacherous climb to the top to begin your ride. An uphill lift will take you to the top, and an exciting ride on the coaster will take you back down!<\/p>\n

The price for one rider is $14.32. Two riders in the same coaster costs $24.16. Children ages 3-9 can ride for $7.16, and a child-parent combo is $21.48. Group rates are also available.
