The Great Smoky Mountains National Park also hosts special Junior Ranger activities during Earth Week, which include historic toy making, Ranger-guided hikes, and hands-on animal exhibits.<\/p>\n The highlight of the week takes place on Thursday, April 23. Earth Day Festival, celebrating its seventh year in 2015, is a FREE day-long event with live music, games, crafts, face painting, and more at Mynatt Park from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. At the festival, green businesses and organizations from the community will be on-site offering fun activities and information about how to go green yourself.<\/p>\n Another popular event during Earth Week you\u2019ll want to check out is the Earth Day 5K.
