That includes cleaning from top to bottom, new coats of paint, new carpet, and this year, a new exhibit. If you are traveling to Pigeon Forge and wanting to visit the Titanic Museum, please take note that it will be closed January 13th-16th, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>On January 17th, the Titanic Museum will re-open its doors with a new exhibit dedicated to Margaret \u201cUnsinkable Molly\u201d Brown. Margaret Brown is famous for not only survival of the sinking of the Titanic but her persistent urging to turn around and save others. Born in Missouri in 1867, Brown was an American human-rights activist and a philanthropist. As she was traveling Europe, Margaret Brown caught word of her grandchild being ill. She reserved a ticket back home on the supposedly indestructible RMS Titanic and on April 14th, 1912 it did not live up to its name. The Titanic hit an iceberg and began sinking when she was able to get aboard one of the lifeboats.<\/p>\n<p>The Titanic Museum is proud to announce that February 14th and 15th, guests will have the opportunity to meet Helen Benziger, Margaret \u201cUnsinkable Molly\u201d Brown\u2019s great granddaughter. Helen will tell stories of her great grandmother and let her separate all the facts from fiction and leave you without wondering the details. You don\u2019t want to miss his wonderful and rare opportunity.
