Description

Classic mountain décor, A-frame architecture, lots of big windows, wooded surroundings, a wood-burning fireplace, a hot tub on the deck…have that quintessential cabin experience in the Great Smoky Mountains at The Lodge at Ski Mountain. This 1 bedroom plus loft, 1 ½-bathroom cabin for 4 is just a few miles from downtown Gatlinburg and boasts a rustic cabin feel with lots of modern perks.

In spring and summer, enjoy warm days on the deck and a comfortable place to relax inside. In fall, get an up-close view of the changing leaves, with trees all around the cabin. In winter, cozy up inside with a cup of hot cocoa as you watch snow and ice transform the trees into a winter wonderland.

The bedrooms are intimate and inviting, the secluded back deck is romantic for couples and spacious enough for families, the kitchen has the essentials for making in-cabin meals, and the cabin’s location means you’re not too far from many wonderful options for eating, shopping, and playing.

Living room
The charming living room of The Lodge at Ski Mountain is the place to spend some quality time as a couple, with the kids, or with friends on a Gatlinburg getaway. You can relax on the sofa and let the kids play around on the rug with mountain motif. The wood-burning fireplace will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere on those cold mountain nights, and the big screen TV above the mantel will offer entertainment for those nights you just want to hang out.

Bring along some board games and play around, or just enjoy some downtime in a peaceful mountain setting. The room features glass sliding doors and large windows extending to the A-frame peak, so you’ll get lots of natural light on nice sunny days.

Kitchen
A fully equipped kitchen is just one of the amenities you’d miss in a hotel room. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a microwave and mini fridge. But at The Lodge at Ski Mountain, the kitchen boasts tons of counter space, a breakfast bar with 4 stools, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a stove/oven, so you can make meals in the cabin. If you’re here for the holidays, check out our blog for recipe ideas, shop on the way into town, and then get cozy in the cabin’s inviting kitchen.

If you’re not up for cooking, just order a Cabins for YOU gift basket for snacks and easy meals in the cabin. Or you can order food to-go from downtown and have a convenient place to store any leftovers in the cabin.

Dining room
Next to the kitchen, the dining table for 4 is great for family meals. Set out a holiday meal on the breakfast bar and easily grab seconds just steps away from the table. If you’re here as a couple, set the table for a romantic candlelit dinner and enjoy a peaceful evening in the cabin. When you don’t feel like going out to eat, it will be a very convenient amenity.

Bedrooms
When you’re ready to call it a night, the cozy bedrooms in The Lodge at Ski Mountain provide comfortable, welcoming places to retreat to. One bedroom features a full-size bed, along with its own TV, lamps for late-night reading, and peeks of the trees from both ends of the room.

The other bedroom offers a queen-size bed and TV, along with easy access to the private deck via the sliding glass doors. In the mornings, step outside with your cup of coffee and breathe in that fresh mountain air while enjoying the wooded views. Both bedrooms will be nice escapes after long days hiking in the national park or strolling along the Parkway.

Outdoor Spaces
One of the best parts of The Lodge at Ski Mountain is the outdoor space. The secluded back deck is surrounded by trees and offers plenty of seating with the built-in benches. You can cook some steaks or kabobs over the wood-burning grill, or you can bring chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows for a night of s’mores and stories.

The private back deck also features a hot tub overlooking the creek, so you can sneak away to soothe those tired muscles after a long drive. As the hot water washes over you, listen to the sounds of the creek for an evening of ultimate relaxation.

Other amenities
The roads to The Lodge at Ski Mountain are flat and paved, making your arrivals that much easier. The cabin also has room to park a trailer, and with just a few steps up to the cabin, you can unpack easily and get your vacation started.
