Pigeon Forge TN - Saddle Up

The sixth annual Saddle Up will be held in Pigeon Forge TN on February 23, 2006 until February 26, 2006. Some of America’s top performers including western musicians and cowboy poets will take part in the extravagant event. Top entertainer’s include; Red Steagall, Andy Wilkinson, the Quebe Sisters, Donnie Blanz, Chris Isaacs, Dan Roberts, Dave Stamey, Trudy Fair and Charlie Holloway.

An accomplished singer, songwriter, author, actor and cowboy poet, by the name of Red Stegall , will be performing. Red is best known for his Texas Swing Dance performance and is the official Texas Cowboy Poet. Red was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2004. Some of his accomplishments include; being a five-time winner of the Wrangler Award for Original Music and the host of "Cowboy Corner.” “Cowboy Corner” is a one-hour nationally recognized radio show.

Writer and singer, Andy Wilkinson, will perform his one act play. Andy will perform “A Way in the West” on February 24, at the Black Bear Jamboree Dinner Theater.
A talented singer, songwriter, and musician Donnie Blanz portrays his love for the old west and the cowboy life style. Donnie co-wrote the all time favorite “Paint Her Real”. If your looking for a real treat, then be sure to check out the Quebe Sisters. The Quebe Sister, Grace, Sophia, and Hulda are teenagers from Fort Worth, Texas. They specialize in making you feet tap to the tunes of fiddles.

Other activities that you can find at the Saddle Up event includes; a Cowboy Action Shooting competition, and a Cowboy Clothing Mart. For the finale on Sunday, you may attend Cowboy Church and afterwards enjoy a Chuck wagon Dinner. Headquarters for the Saddle up event is the Music Road Convention Center. Thursday’s events will take place at the Country Tonite Theater. Friday and Saturday’s shows and activities will take place at the American Jukebox Theater.
