While in Gatlinburg TN, enjoy two
weeks of Gatlinburg's heritage in the Arts and Crafts
Community! This community has the largest group of
independent artisans in North America. This historic
eight-mile loop has been designated a Tennessee Heritage
Arts and Crafts Trail. Established in 1937, the display
has a variety of things that people can peruse and
encounter. The artists, who cover many different people
and talents, are so diverse that it’s impossible to sum
up the quality of their work in this succinct article.
These artisans whittle, paint, sew, cast, weave, and
carve to create original collectibles. Be there to watch
them make new works of art right in front of your own
eyes. While staying in one of our
Gatlinburg cabin rentals, bring your family
along to teach your children the wonderful world of art!
It’s something that shouldn’t be missed by anyone.
The experience of the summer awaits
you and your family at this year’s Gatlinburg Heritage
on Display. The 4th annual Display, put on by
the
Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, is from
August 20th, 2005 to September 5th,
2005. You don’t have to be there for all of the two
weeks, but come for a weekend to adequately give time
for everything. Remember to call us so you can have an
Gatlinburg cabin to stay in after the art display.
Visit over 80 unique shops during
the display with many demonstrating on location. Watch
firsthand the techniques and hundreds of years of
compounding artistry right in front of you! These
artisans know everything about their trade, and feel
free to ask a question or two if you would like to
recreate what you saw at home!
After you and your family view all
of the wonders at this year’s Gatlinburg Heritage on
Display, come on over to any of our Gatlinburg cabin
rentals from Cabins For You! Sleep the night away in one
of our vacation rentals. You will never forget staying
at the best
cabin in Gatlinburg! Be sure to call us right
away to plan your trip in August, because our Gatlinburg
cabin rentals are going very quickly! |
