Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by 3-time Masters and British Open Championship Winner Gary Player, is a challenging par-72 course in Gatlinburg. Rated among the Top 50 Southern Golf Courses in Southern Living Travel Guide, the course is challenging and fun for golfers of all levels. A sparkling stream runs through the course, and the rolling hills of the Great Smoky Mountains are all around. In spring and summer, enjoy bright green trees, lush flowering bushes, and beautiful blue skies. In fall, vivid hues of orange, gold, and red transform the course into something even more stunning. At the prop shop, golfers can pick up all the newest gear, accessories, clubs, clothing, shoes, balls, belts, and more. Open year-round, the Gatlinburg Golf Course boasts modern facilities, a fully equipped pro shop, food, and a beautifully manicured 18-hole course designed by golf course architect William Langford. The gorgeous course showcases some of the best of the Smokies, with mountains rising up all around, lush trees, and rolling hills throughout. One of their claims to fame is hole #12 – Sky Hi – that’s 194 yards long and drops 200 feet from tee to green. Hole #3 – Long Lane – is a 529-yard par 5, and hole #17 is a 231-yard par 3 that’s one of the most challenging. At the clubhouse, you can set up tee times, find golf apparel and accessories, or grab a burger or chicken salad sandwich before heading out on the course. Stop by the Pro Shop to get fitted for clubs and get gadgets as well!

At The Sevierville Golf Club, you’ll find 2 championship courses. The Highlands is an 18-hole, par-70 course with hills and ponds; The River is a par-72 course that makes its way across the Little Pigeon River. Besides the beautifully designed and manicured courses, The Sevierville Golf Club offers help from top-notch pros like Ashley McGaha, PGA Head Golf Professional; a clubhouse with drinks and meals (and customized food and drink for groups); a nice driving range with grass tees, a putting green and chipping area; and services for tournaments.

Not much of a golfer? You can still celebrate National Golf Month in the Smokies. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have tons of miniature golf courses for some family fun. Fort Fun has mini golf, arcade games, and more; Hillbilly Golf takes you on an adventure along the side of the mountain, Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf is a fun themed course, Barnaby’s Circus Golf is indoor blacklight fun, Walden’s Landing Firehouse Golf is in the middle of lots of shopping and dining, and Ripley’s Old MacDonald’s Farm Mini Golf is a favorite with kids! A day of mini golf is a great way to celebrate with the kids or just have some fun if golf isn’t your thing.
