Ripley's Aquarium is literally busting with 10,000 sea creatures comprising of more than 350 individual species. Unbelievably, there are more fish in the aquarium than people that live in Gatlinburg. Although hundreds of miles from the ocean, Ripley's Aquarium is America's Most Fun Aquarium.
If you want a rafting adventure that's a little more low key, Rafting in the Smokies also offers a regular Float Trip on the Lower Pigeon. The rapids on this trip stay around classes 1 and 2, but you still get a guide to help you navigate the 6 mile journey. This is a good choice if you're traveling with younger children (ages 3+).
